  1. Physios and Bios serve entirely different functions in the rehabilitative arena. For my money, I would always start with a physio, and move on to the bio when recommended.
  2. Sorry to hear that bud, unnecessary tragedy. Foreseeable and avoidable. Condolences. 82 behind a truck is stoopid, feeenish en klaar.
  3. This time it went well for you, thankfully. Next time it may not. Hopefully you will do a lot of growing up between now and then. Huge difference between calculated risks and foolhardiness.
  4. Thanks ASG, I'm sure the OP and GENUINE cyclists appreciate your support and involvement. Hopefully, with sustained legal pressure, a consumer boycott, common sense from John and Robbie (which has been sorely lacking) and word of mouth we will soon see sign below of Cycle Science's door:
  5. Last year everyone on was allowed to park on campus. The walk uphill (and around and around) after the finish isn't pleasant though, especially if you forget where you parked in the maze of streets.
  6. I didn't see yours, show us again
  7. We have a UCT parking disc, for students and faculty members. The walk to the start takes about 15-20mins.
  8. I'm parking at UCT, leaving Hout Bay 4a.m to ensure a spot as close to back of C and front of D as possible.
  9. Doing my second OMTOM half. Training, for me, is hills, hills, and more hills mostly up and down Chappies and Suikerbossie weekends. I rack up about 50-60km per week, at an average pace of 5.50/km. Last year I winged it (disastrously) without preparation, this year I should get close to 120min. Looking forward to the big day, and hoping for a start as close to the front as possible. D seeded. Safari is next, on Mayday. Have a good race everyone.
  10. The Cycle Science invoice is pivotal to their criminality, yet CB ignored it and focused on the drama instead. They did their viewers in general, and cyclists in particular, a disservice.
  11. So, prior to the AA furore that hit the Hub 137 pages ago, CS were given ample opportunity to make good on the misdeeds They chose instead to bury their heads in the sand, like good little ostriches The CS invoice doesn't denote fake, counterfeit or even grey Then along came the HUB, but despite the massive uproar, notwithstanding the support of many a troll, they kept their heads buried Their legal reply to AA's assertions was vague, inconsistent and unapologetic Then along came Devi and the CB team, but still no impact on their humanity or business savvy They selectively choose to refund other duped clients, yet swear blindly AA was (1) aware it was "grey" and, alternatively FAKE They view this episode as nothing more than a joke They have no consideration for the lives they have impacted (customers, family, employees etc) ROBBIE AND JOHN AT CYCLE SCIENCE HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE CYCLING INDUSTRY, AND I HAVE NO SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER FOR THEM GOING FORWARD.
  12. Then you READ, before you write and make an ass outa yourself. You're the author of your own misfortune. All the details are there, if you take the time to find them.
  13. No you're trying to backpeddle and justify your trolling. If you'd taken the trouble to read the thread you would already know the answers to your stooopid questions and ASS-umptions. 1. IF? Nothing of the sort was shared with anybody, look at the invoice 2. Read the chinese carbon thread, everyone there readily admits to buying fakes. Selling a fake openly as a fake is perfectly ok, but passing it off as an original is fraudulent and corrupt.
  14. Catch a wake-up Willdo, The OP had a longstanding relationship with Cycle Science The OP had no reason to distrust them, based on previous purchases The OP purchased a second Pina frame after he was informed the first was a counterfeit (ergo he paid 170k for a 160k bike).
  15. The warranty doesn't cover towing a 47kg trailer affixed to the seatpost, even for "charity" Are you slow? This is the hub, not Stalingrad Education, now you know your frame warranty is useless
  16. I'm guessing your frame is out of warranty, or you don't have the dosh to pony up for a replacement. Fake everything? Have you bothered to read the thread? The Groupo was legit, all 40k of it. If you've never been taken by a scammer, good for you. If you do get diddled in future though, don't expect any sympathy by posting it here. This thread is about education as much as it about fraud and deception. Your attitude stinks.
  17. Why contribute today, if it's "so yesterday"? There are many other threads and topics available, stick to those if you don't like this one. Better yet, start your own.
  18. No need to be tentative re CS, they're criminals, criminals, CRIMINALS
  19. A scam on OLX and Junkmail.... no waaaays . Ask him for the frame serial number, easy enough to verify whether it's stolen or he's just hardup for cash. Nice doggie you have there!
  20. No worries Macca. Re your last point: From a commercial perspective, ASG have a duty to assist the OP though, imho. He made the original CS purchase in good faith (as most of us do), and then purchased a further Pina frame when he was informed he had been duped. The distributors of Swiss DT wheels have an equal duty. The OP has heightened awareness of these brands significantly, and shown loyalty throughout. It's in both their interests to ensure this unpleasantness is resolved without delay, to restore the integrity of their respective markets.
  21. Another Johnny-come-lately Noob. This has been debated ad-nauseum before you happened along. Heard of discount, and specials, and varying component prices, and emotional purchases? Read the thread, all 130 pages. What's your connection to Cycle Science?
  22. Macca, you've set the cat amongst the pigeons unnecessarily. Andrew: “They said that I knew all along that it was a grey import.” Devi : “ Is that true? Did you know that it was a grey import?” Andrew: “No, I didn’t know. If it was a grey import, I would have kept it – because as long as it was a genuine Pinarello, or genuine Swiss DT wheels. But the fact is that there was nothing genuine about it. It was all fake.” Naughty Macca
  23. Lost in translation, and volume. The letters AA refers to was correspondence after the fact. He purchased a thoroughbred Pina (and paid accordingly), he sent them an "indignant" text from down under advising them he had discovered the bike was FAKE, CS replied that "he knew the bike was a grey import" (although their invoice doesn't support this pertinent fact). CS lies and spin, nothing more.
  24. I'm guessing it's too late to email already.
