It's convenient for SA authorities to be soft on counterfeit products,and associated illegal activities, a by-product of being in bed with the People's Republic of China. Rubbing your main international "investor" up the wrong way, wouldn't be good for international relations. Individual politician's bank balances would take a hammering too. We're victims of a flawed, corrupt, despotic, hypocritical system.

Next Half on the Cape running calender is the Jive Slave Route 21.1 on 12th May. I'll be there. First 10km is hilly, around Bo-Kaap, last 11 is downhill and flat around the Sea Point and back toward Grand Parade. This Sunday is the 10km UCT Memorial, also a nice little lung burner.

I've yet to put anything in my saddlebag, but I'll gladly take a push up the hill.
