  1. Holy moley, I'd move the wife to the wendy house!
  2. I like pretty, and I like green. Niner doesn't figure in either
  3. Duallie Softer tyre pressure Anatomic bib Your backside will feel as if it's wrapped in cotton wool
  4. In a word, YES. Why take a pounding to your sensitive area when you can soften the ride? Go duallie, no brainer.
  5. DH Saturday, Roubaix Sunday. Life is good!
  6. So you've grown up?
  7. Agree with Scotty. The Silverback is SUPERB value, at about 27k. http://www.cyclefactory.co.za/index.php/bikes/road-bikes/sb-scalera3-2013-detail. Speak to Nick or Pieter at Cycle Factory, they deliver nationwide. Really decent blokes, I'm fairly sure the website listed price can be reduced. Silverback's after-sales service and warranty is priceless. Local is lekker afterall.
  8. As the saying goes "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Pinarello is the most counterfeited frame out there, due to it's premium "real world" price.
  9. There's a right way, and a wrong way of doing things, even here on the hub. Yours is the latter. What does this thread remotely have to do with photos and videos? Nada, and you know it. Anyway, TRUCE. Use the Hub as it was intended. Starting threads where they're not applicable clutters the system unnecessarily. You can't simply change things to suit yourself, despite your good intentions to help a mate.
  10. Another one of those pointless threads, posted by a noob in the wrong section, that will achieve 5 replies and then asphyxiate itself to death . The place to look, and enquire about purchasing anything is..... wait for it, IN THE CLASSIFIEDS.
  11. If criminal charges HAVE NOT been laid by fleeced buyers, I would question why this is so. Perhaps that's the smoking gun, unless "negotiations" are underway. Position a Hubsa Cam directed at their front door for us please Massey Ferguson, would love to see the boys in blue rock up
  12. Agreed, for the most part. Submitting knowingly fraudulent claims deserves to be pursued criminally and civilly. However there are always exceptions. Retailers who betray consumers should be shut down and made to feel the heat of the law. As the OP and other CS victims have demonstrated, they were unknowingly and unwittingly sold fake bikes as originals. Their claims would be reduced to the cost of Chinarello frames, THAT would be shock and punishment enough. Unfortunately ignorance and naivety play a large role, mostly insofar as newcomers to cycling is concerned, especially in the second hand market. There's always somebody waiting to take advantage of enthusiasm. Edit: Grammar
  13. Snap. I'm sticking around too. Till death us do part, be that the thread is shut down for new comments or Cycle Science is closed for business. I'd prefer the latter TBH.
  14. Can't help yourself, still trolling with egg on your face. Grow some nuts, and apologise to the OP for your dumb comments.
  15. Physios and Bios serve entirely different functions in the rehabilitative arena. For my money, I would always start with a physio, and move on to the bio when recommended.
  16. Sorry to hear that bud, unnecessary tragedy. Foreseeable and avoidable. Condolences. 82 behind a truck is stoopid, feeenish en klaar.
  17. This time it went well for you, thankfully. Next time it may not. Hopefully you will do a lot of growing up between now and then. Huge difference between calculated risks and foolhardiness.
  18. Thanks ASG, I'm sure the OP and GENUINE cyclists appreciate your support and involvement. Hopefully, with sustained legal pressure, a consumer boycott, common sense from John and Robbie (which has been sorely lacking) and word of mouth we will soon see sign below of Cycle Science's door:
  19. Last year everyone on was allowed to park on campus. The walk uphill (and around and around) after the finish isn't pleasant though, especially if you forget where you parked in the maze of streets.
  20. I didn't see yours, show us again
  21. We have a UCT parking disc, for students and faculty members. The walk to the start takes about 15-20mins.
  22. I'm parking at UCT, leaving Hout Bay 4a.m to ensure a spot as close to back of C and front of D as possible.
  23. Doing my second OMTOM half. Training, for me, is hills, hills, and more hills mostly up and down Chappies and Suikerbossie weekends. I rack up about 50-60km per week, at an average pace of 5.50/km. Last year I winged it (disastrously) without preparation, this year I should get close to 120min. Looking forward to the big day, and hoping for a start as close to the front as possible. D seeded. Safari is next, on Mayday. Have a good race everyone.
  24. The Cycle Science invoice is pivotal to their criminality, yet CB ignored it and focused on the drama instead. They did their viewers in general, and cyclists in particular, a disservice.
  25. So, prior to the AA furore that hit the Hub 137 pages ago, CS were given ample opportunity to make good on the misdeeds They chose instead to bury their heads in the sand, like good little ostriches The CS invoice doesn't denote fake, counterfeit or even grey Then along came the HUB, but despite the massive uproar, notwithstanding the support of many a troll, they kept their heads buried Their legal reply to AA's assertions was vague, inconsistent and unapologetic Then along came Devi and the CB team, but still no impact on their humanity or business savvy They selectively choose to refund other duped clients, yet swear blindly AA was (1) aware it was "grey" and, alternatively FAKE They view this episode as nothing more than a joke They have no consideration for the lives they have impacted (customers, family, employees etc) ROBBIE AND JOHN AT CYCLE SCIENCE HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE CYCLING INDUSTRY, AND I HAVE NO SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER FOR THEM GOING FORWARD.
