  1. The actual winner finished 100th in 2h:28 and was on the podium.
  2. Please tell me you have a high res copy.
  3. Looking super fresh!!! I'll be driving though your neck of the woods on the 6th of March from Como up through Swiss to Chamonix. I wouldn't mined a locals opinion on likely snow levels and driving conditions? Thanks
  4. Not PB, my birdie is lets say more of a horse . It does sound like there are similar processes involved. What I did find interesting is that unlike conventional carbon frame manufacturing the new frames will be rideable from the first one out the mold. If memory serves there will be no bladders/foam involved and mold pressures will be higher. Edit : as for the manufacturer I here they make some very nice goodies for another form of two wheeled transport.
  5. A little birdie also told me that there might be a completely new manufacturing process for the carbon bike that will do away with a lot of the wastage.
  6. Haha, its madness one quote was 9k so self insure and you could buy a new one in 18 months.
  7. Could you PM me his details. I got a guy at work who was quoted R7700pm on a Kawasaki Z1000 SX valued at R170k he is only 27.
  8. Nice pic's. if all goes to plan I'll be following or route through Italy in a few months time.
  9. Aramex global shopper, a mate has just done it from the UK to SA cost was around R500 and took 3 days. Edit: Sorry I see they don't have New Zealand as a pick-up option. Maybe give them a call to confirm.
  10. Aahh, my eyes . That crank position should be a criminal offense on a big that beautiful.
  11. I agree on the use of a puller being the cause of some of the paint damage, you can even see the impression marks on the top. The damage to the bolt looks to be from some form of levering on the edge to remove it and then a big smack with a hammer I could have done better with an allen key, piece of round bar and a hammer.
  12. What the **** !!! Was there an issue with seized bearings or corroded bolts??? Not sure how you manage to do that sort of damage by accident?
  13. It's to regulate the water pressure coming into the machine same as if you have fancy tap mixers in your bathrooms. You can have it where your mains come into the house or just before the machine if you want to keep a higher pressure to the rest of the house.
  14. Sorry to hear, been through and am currently going through it with family. Holding thumbs for you!!!
  15. I will second the Rocket guess. I have seen the inside of a fair few machines (commercial mostly) and I will say who ever did the referb did a very good job or I was hardly ever used. As for price I would say Ken is spot on. Nice find by the way, oh and if you don't already have a 4bar pressure regulator add that to the list.
  16. I didn't see him he must have been hanging on the back.
  17. All they need was a marshal with a pole and the start letter and things would have been smooth sailing.
  18. Ok, then I'd put it down to the heat. If you don't regularly train and race in that sort of heat your body can just through a spanner in the works. Secondly you need to start hydrating your body two days before a race in temps like that. So increasing your fluid intake and defiantly not waiting till you thirsty because by then its too late.I just constantly keep a bottle water with me and just sip through the day. Even the morning of the race I probably drank 1L before I got to the venue and I started at 6am.
  19. What did you eat or drinkon Sat or Sun that was different to you normal pre-race routine?
  20. Those are Frosy's stats not mine and I would hope my w/kg hasn't dropped that low at SA's a few years ago my avg was 4.2w/kg for 4h20min.
  21. 2017 Avg HR 169 & Avg Power 204W 2018 Avg HR 155 & Avg Power 220W ????? Not sure how that work unless you way fitter? It helps when you only weight 60kg and know how to hide in the bunch
