  2. HEY WEAPON!!! are you going to buy me a new keyboard?? there's drool all over this one! one of the prettiest bikes I've seen in a while..
  3. I did a search and saw there is quite a big thread on single speed conversions but I really only want a temporary solution,, and nothing thats gonna cost too much,,please!
  4. ok,, whose the single speed experts ??? help needed please!
  5. I though about removing my big blade and small chain ring, and maybe do something similar to my cluster?
  6. that might work,, what gear do you suggest I leave it in?
  7. haha,, thought about that, but I dont trust myself need something thats fool (me!) proof!!
  8. is there a way for me to convert my mtb to single speed only for a week and then convert it back?? I'm doing a cycle tour in April with some guys of the hostel I used to live in, and want to do the tour (Potch - Durban) single speed.. what would be the easiest and cheapest way to do this?? thanks!
  9. kinda looks like burry's audi anyone seem that? unfortunately dont have pic..
  10. thanks for the advice,, will try and look into it, I expect them to be at next saturdays race aswell, then we'll see how it goes..
  11. I can assure you that's not the case,, if some rich brat on his 50k carbon bike rode like an idiot THE WHOLE RACE I would be angry at him aswell.. this has nothing to do with race or anything, but these riders do come from a disavantaged background and I just feel that their managers/trainers should assure that they the skills to ride in a bunch before letting them do a big ride..
  12. why do you want it? for a softer ride? cause I cant see that it will better handling? I know its ALOt more expensive, but rather get a full sus..
  14. look,, if they were at least trying to be careful and considerate I wouldnt be so pissed off,, but these okes are arrogant, thats what makes it so much worse!!
  15. no I didnt speak with the managers personally but I know alot of the other riders did, just seemed pointless for me to go tell them the same again.. I agree you need experience sure,, but should your experience come at the expence of someone else??
  16. I did a race this morning and there was a developement team who raced aswell,, but they where all over place!! sprinting past the bunch on the right hand side and them they completely slow down,, and sh$t like that! one of them even caused a crash 8 km before the finish.. in the end they had the whole front group mad at them! I'm all for developing young and new talent, and thinks its great that these guys which normally wouldn't have been able to cycle get the opportunity.. but I feel their managers/trainers should teach them some bunch riding skills before they let them do races!!!
  17. is it necessary to put something underneath the frame ( the sloping tube??) to protect it from rocks and stuff?/ I remember my Al frame took quite a few hits? or do you just go on and ride??
  18. sorry there is no smiley face that has its bottom jaw hanging on the ground... so i'll just post this one WOW!!
  19. it depends,, most of them differ between 170 - 175,, dont thinks there is really a "standard" on the roadbikes you seem to get 172.5 the most,, but I could be mistaken??? (ask JB) you measure from the center (bb) to the center of the pedal axle.. hope this is correct and it helps!
  20. its got an auto-pause function that you can turn on?? (but I cant remember now if it stops while its doing a "workout".. )
  21. thats one of the great thing of the garmin,, you can program it yourself.. so if you get a decent program off the internet or in a mag,, you can program the unit (using the pc software they gave you) to do exactly what you want, when you want, for how long you want,, you get the picture!
