With a stolen cheque you will normally see it, it shows ACCOUNT BALANCE and AVAILABLE BALANCE. There will be a difference between the amounts as the cheque will not be cleared. With a normal transfer it shows that it is available.

It is actually a difficult situation..because just as you can get a dodgy buyer you can also get a dodgy seller.. I initially joined the hub because I wanted to sell an item, and I think its the same with a lot of people. Also to buyers, make sure that you don't do any of these funny payments that cannot be tracked. Only pay directly into someone's registered bank account.

All the above mentioned bikes are good..if I can give you some advice, go and ride a few bikes and see what you like. No one can really tell you what to buy. Giant does however carry one of the best frame guarantees.

I think around R6000 would be a bargain..around R8000 would be reasonable..only my opinion though..good bike.

Good bike, looks like it was looked after very well..but being 9 years old does mean it has lost a lot of value. I would say below R10 000..

Mavic..i love mavic, you wont find a stronger wheel than mavic. I am over a 100kg and ride the mavic crossmax..never had any problems.

I use a park tools chain cleaner with paraffin..clean it, empty the paraffin out and add clean paraffin and run it again. I do it every 2 weeks or so. Takes me no longer than 10 minutes and my drivetrain lasts very long.

I got pricing at a few places..ended up buying a 2013 x3 29er from cajees cycles for under R20 000..it had one or two small marks from being in the shop but nothing major..speak to Ahmed at cajees boksburg. Always willing to do a good deal..and its an awesome bike..

Dont completely agree, as Nino has won the 2 last uci cross country races on a full suspension. And a lot of people seem to think that full suspension climbs better also..Nino basically won both races on the technical decents.

To me a cyclist is a cyclist..a person, father, mother, or a child on a bike. Mtb, or road bike makes no difference..i just always say, safety first. I have had people with bike racks and bikes on the back of the car coming past me on my bike at crazy speeds. We should all think before we act.

Servicing your fork regularly will extend the life of it..you dont have to replace the dust wiper seals etc every 40 hours. Simply take it apart, clean everything properly..you need a special grease and the correct fork oil when you re assemble. You also need to make sure that you add the correct amount of oil.
