  1. I have a Rockshox Reverb droppper post that failed. Available to anyone that thinks they can rebuild it, or that requires it for parts. 30.9mm diameter. 390mm length. No lever or cables.
  2. My new Tig in translucent black. 135mm Deluxe Ultimate and 150mm Pike Select+. Burgtec cockpit, GX groupset, SRAM G2 RSC brakes, with rest of the parts by Deed. DHR2 in 2.4 front and back. What a bike. This thing is incredible. Climbs like a monster, and takes big hits like a champ.
  3. Seems like the owner (Johan) has gone to ground, and has not honored any deliveries for months, possibly the whole year (10 months in my case). The site has been suspended, and other buyers have started legal action against him. https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php/326856-MX-ALLIANCE-Johan http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=pkrar6vsaafg8punt9njdi5sl6&topic=255869.80
  4. Multiple shops & distributors. Not just those two you mentioned. Honestly, when I read what he did and why, I did not really think much of it. It does not change my opinion about him or the company at all. It was 20 years ago, and he paid his dues, and I am perfectly ok with that. I don't know why we South Africans like to dismiss other's success for some reason, almost like we can not stand other's being successful.
  5. Indeed. I would love to know how many Hubbers still remember (or care) about the collusion that went on some years ago between many of the local bike shops. It all just conveniently became a distant memory. I am happy for Leatt's success. I enjoy their products, and will continue using them over other brands. Unfortunately their pricing is no longer that different from the competitors, and seems to have gone up a bit in 2021.
  6. You can try Gary at MTB Xperience. He might be able to assist. https://www.facebook.com/MTB-Xperience-108145663891416 or https://www.mtbxperience.co.za/
  7. No, not compulsory as mentioned. I ride with a Camelback KUDU with built in back protection, but many other companies like IXS, Leatt etc also makes specific back protector shirts / vests, e.g. https://ixs.com/en/bike/mtb-equipment/armours/1459/carve-upper-body-protective-grey or https://www.leatt.com/shop/bike/protection-gear/upper-body-protection-3df-soft-shell/body-vest-3df-airfit22.html
  8. Kona and Dartmoor (Hornet) can be ordered from Trailtech. Nukeproof Scout can be bought from Gravity Hub guys: https://www.gravityhub.bike/
  9. Aaaaaaand then you add our lovely import duties + shipping, which puts it at around R42k.
  10. MRP is up to something...no much info just yet. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/spotted-mrps-prototype-air-sprung-shock.html
  11. Beautiful bike! Sorry you had to let it go. I have decided to take the plunge and say screw it. I want an aggressive HT, so I am getting one. Busy finalizing the parts list, and luckily I can move most of my parts over, (sans the ridiculous Trek's 141 rear hub) and hoping to have it done before the next DRI.
  12. At least the flannel will look cool while your kneepad / shorts gap is showing...
