  1. once you go tubeless, you will never go back. I also run tubless with Stans sealant, maxxis crossmark tires.
  2. Thanks for pic
  3. Heard that Cycle Maintenance Centre (CMC) has closed. Pity, do anybody know where is Jaco?
  4. Is it possible for someone to post pic of tool?
  5. K2C not difficult. I suffered more on the paarl MTB (39KM) last weekend than on K2C last year
  6. Look at the WC soccer. A team is attacking, the opponant get injured while trying to get the ball, he goes to ground in "pain" (debatable). What does the attacking team do; kick the ball out, they do not attack. But in rugby that does not work, it seems that the more you can hurt the better. Therefore you cannot compare business, rugby with cycling. Take climbing Everest, if you go down in the death zone in a storm, nobody is going to help. Each dissipline, sport, life or busuness got its own unwritten rules.
  7. You are not seriuos! you cannot compare the two situations. All AC had to do was not to accelerate. Did not need to stop and wait.
  8. you sound like a true blond. Void!
  9. you sound like a rue blond. Void!
  10. Confirmed: Koeberg open on Monday, not this weekend. So it will be Contermanskloof
  11. Got XT and American classic, both great. AC don't now when to stop rolling
  12. I just phoned security. According to them, koeberg is open for a race (running) tomorrow and closed again until Monday. You can always try your luck with all this confussion.
  13. Wie is jy?
  14. I see potential problem: Will the security at the gates know this. I had permission to cycle during the world cup. I asked security the same question on Tuesday and there reponse was, open on Monday 19 july. You can take a chance. When leaving today at 13h30 (sug, over worked), I will stop at gate and ask them.
  15. Will be open on Monday 19 July
  16. Wanna_b Hope you recover. Had a similar accident at Chapmans. Cracked ribs, broken collarbone and broken (and moved) vertebra and two ruptured disks. Mentally I never recovered from that accident. Carried on cycling for couple of years, but was too scared to ride in groups. Stop cycling. Then about a year ago my son discovered my bike. He started cycling and ended up riding league. Slowly I stated cycling again, even MTB. My first ever MTB was Argus MTB. I got so paranoid that I almost died. . Currently I am full into road and MTB with my son, 4 times a week. (going to do Burger 60km MTB and K2C). Currently I cannot walk or stand for longer than 30 minutes, to much pain from back into my leg. Luckily no pain while I cycle or surf. To risky to have operation. I am taken a risk cycling races, will do it for one more season. Hope you recover mentally and physically.
  17. Would probally use them for race. currently got Easton EA70 for train/race. My friend got latest Giant TCR and it came out with Mavic Ksyrium LS. He would also like a pair of deepsection wheels, therefore selling the ES. what would be a fair price?
  18. Friend wants to sell. Very good condition. Is it good wheels?
  19. A group of us were cycling Chapman’s on a weekend when there was a howling wind. On the first corner on the climb, the wind was tunnelling around the bend, stopping al of us. Some guys were blown over. A lady on her bike was swept right across the road against the rails. Could have easily gone over rails. She was in shock; thought see was going over rails. I was there this Sunday with much less wind than Saturday. Around some corners the tunnelling effect of the wind was scary. The wind Saturday was gale force. Could have easily blown bicycle over rails.
  20. Johan, Moegoe Thanks for feedback
  21. Johan i would like to drill drainage hole in my BB shell on roadbike (Scott CR1 carbon). What size hole? Anything I should carefull when doing it? Specific position? Thanks
  22. Thanks
  23. I am receiving e-mails on topics that I chose to follow, but know I have to open the website to read the response/feedback. I used to see it in the e-mail. Is this correct?
  24. I agree, also re-using it. thanks
  25. The way I understand "not to re-use" is that once it is on do not remove. if you remove 10 speed link, use new link. 10 speed SRAM link not to be re-used like the 9 speed link. I could be wrong.
