  1. My son is looking for wheels. He is into racing. His weight is +70kg (not sure). He is starting to nag me about getting deep sections. He say he will pay money back ??? He saw the Blackspade wheels, price not to bad compared to some other brands. I am doing some research before buying, would like to buy the right wheels
  2. Agree with you. 50mm in front and 60mm at back
  3. Want to get set of deep section wheels. What is the best option for front and back? Front 60mm and back 80mm? Also do I go for clinchers or tubbies?

    MTB pedals

I got XT pedals and they are awsome. When I told my son how easy the XT pedals unclip, his comment was "why do you want to unclipped"
  5. I ride with them and I am no racer, more like a diesel machine, same pace hour after hour. Use them to get lift into town (nice when SE is blowing)and then do my own thing if I cannot hang on. Meet for coffee and get lift back. I see you mentioned gals, we could use more of them.
  6. Cycles Direct rides on weekends (MTB and/or road). They meet at the robot on the R27 between the shopping centres. Normally thet do MTB into to Table Mountain and/or road to Suikerbossie or Chapmans. Stop for coffee at M&B in waterfront on the way back. Give them a call at 021 554 2128. Ask for Gary or Michael
  7. Agree with tight muscles. Same thing happened with me, trained very hard for K2C, with all the cycling and no cross training the muscles in your legs gets to tight. need to go for sport massage once/twice a month.

  18. Also check that you do not have to many spacers.
  19. Installed new Truvativ GXP BB on my MTB. My first time trying to do this. Followed instructions, right torque, grease where required. After installation the crank felt very stiff. I removed one spacer, no improvement (Old GXP BB had two spacer, no problem). Decided to leave as is and see if there is an improvement after cycling for about 200 km. No luck. Also thought that I over greased it, if that is possible. Remove crank and BB. Found out that drive side bearing does not rotate freely in the external cup (could not turn by hand). Remove bearing, bearing rotating freely when remove from cup. Realised that the cup could be faulty (not right size). Decide to use the old cup with the new bearing. Problem solved. Crank spin like a dream. So it seems internal diameter of cup to small and is squeezing the bearing, preventing it from tuning freely. Glad I could solve the problem

  21. I have a Rox shock RT3. Experienced no damping a while ago. Shock was repaired, but after 3 rides I noticed oil on the “shaft”. Does this mean that a seal needs replacing?
