  1. No mate, you do. Unless you're a vegan, you support cruelty to animals in some way or another, so get educated. My remark was aimed at your offensive referral to Chinese people as 'slant eyed'. Learn to have some respect for people. Stop judging a whole nation, over a billion people by a video you see. There are sick, twisted evil people in every corner of this globe. Keep your uneducated bigotry to yourself. This is a public forum, so have some respect.
  2. anyways, this is all going around in circles. cheers to this retarded 'debate'
  3. Hey thats exactly the kind of abusive talk I'd expect from 'your' delightful wonderful inspiring cosmopolitan bustling vibrant city. It's my opinion BigBen. I'm entitled to it. If you don't agree then so be it. Throwing threats around, now THAT'S what this thread is all about. Time to clean up the image of cyclist? That was thrown around too.
  4. haha, or PM me and post it to me.
  5. Slave2Love, here is the clip from Bowling for Columbine. It's a great documentary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90xJVOUuV-I It's very easy to blame TV for the wrongs of mankind. It's not the cause though. Also, to blame advertising for anything? I don't get it. I see the pointlessness of advertising, and if you look at the philosophy of futurist Jacque Fresco he explains that technology is the primary driver of human advancement while politics, advertising, banks etc are irrelevant because they are not trained to solve problems. The problem with the World though is that in 1900 there were 1.65 billion people, and now we're sitting on 7 billion. We are all fighting for our own little space. Why then would one care if someone has a light on their bike? It's pathetic to say the least.
  6. Slave, hopefully you've seen 'bowling for Columbine'. If not, I suggest you do. Marilyn Manson makes a very good point about people who blame TV and media for the wrongs of mankind. The rest of your post is littered with meaningless points and you contradict yourself too. Anyway, the jist of wht you said is basically what is being rehashed here ad nausium, people must just mind their own business when out in public, and the 'lady' could easily have avoided the whole situation by taking the passive approach. Dare I say it...ok...PMS?
  7. Exactly. she could have slowed down, let them pass, admired the scenery, and carried on her merry way. It sounds to me like she did a lot more to piss these guys off than we read here. I'd love to hear the two MTB'ers point of view. In this day and age it's really better to just mind your own business. I don't buy the philanthropic view that it's a waste of tax money if the person gets a head injury and ends up institutionalised due to an accident indirectly caused by not having a light. If that's the case, then I'd expect the same idealists to stop jaywalkers when they cross the highway, or perhaps when you go out to a bar, stop people who look like they have had one too many. You can't go around policing and butting into other people's space, throwing verbal abuse and expecting to get away with it. It's absurd. Let the police do this, and rather just mind your own business. It's always too easy for women to hide behind the old chivalrous mindset when they need to. They expect equality but then still want the door opened for them. She should have acted like the lady you all are carrying on about.
  8. Very mature, homophobic comment there. Luckily yur next comment was at least decent and saved ya. peace
  9. ...and around we go again
  10. Chuck, I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately for you, you'll get flamed by the rest of the forum here. It's very low indeed that they hit this poor woman though. This is why I suggested that rather than try and be a policing hero, rather mind your own business when out in public places. There are all types of people out there, and it's better to just keep to yourself. Lastly, I'm not hiding behind a forum name here. I stand by what I have said. For those who cannot READ BETWEEN THE LINES, the waterbottle comment was in JEST. It was to help the lynch mob to chill TF out. jees people. Buddha would not be proud if he read this...
  11. Hey Spano, there are technical documents for download up on the RockShox website. Goto www.sram.com. Would it really be a problem for the Argus though? Is it not a race on tar?
  12. hahaha, who cares? It's a cycling forum full of opinionated random people. Really, get a life. You don't have to agree with me. I don't really care either way.
  13. Dude, you are a sick f&%k. Go play in the traffic! No, THIS stuff is sick http://www.fat-pie.com/flash.htm, sick cool that is!
  14. Good thinking sickbust... I like that plan.... although a pump in the spokes works better... you might get thirsty later on in the ride. Good point TNT. I think I'll rather just carry my SWAT mace in future, in case some angry woman verbally abuses me while I'm out MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS! heh
  15. why dont you just mind your own business next time, and don't swear at people. what's it to you if they dont have lights? are you a traffic cop? I think you're deplorable one here
  16. cool, PM me next time you're going and my mate and I would love to ride with you guys for the day. cheers
