that lady in the black and red and the one mtn rider have their right side pedals at the bottom around a right hand turn.....quite attentive....or did you just crash yourself because of that? :-) they don't take the turn in a too sharp angle so they can pedal through. the mtn girl you refer to surely knows how to ride a bike. don't worry about her! The heart rate really depends on your aim. Iff you wanna stick with the group you are in, you give it all if you have to and see that you don't get dropped. Otherwise you go as hard at any given moment as you think you can manage in your attempt to finish the race well. Max. heart rate percentage is helpful, but if you ar enot sued toc ycle in the higher areas your body will tell you quickly.

I remember a team mate during SASSU 2005 - in teh individual time trial he averaged (!!) 196!!! he was not 19 then I think. Quite hectic.

agh, ze Germans will hopefully be the top competitors for next years title. Vettel and Glock in particular. Glock had such a good season, regarding it was his first F1 season. that wuestion has already been explained, just an anecdote from myself: I had a cyclo cross frame once, but with a "normal road set up" (mind the brakes of course) and seriously didn't like it. Reason was the higher BB which forced you to raise your saddle as well (compared to road bike) and thus also your centre of gravity. the handling wasn't that good and stopping and putting your foot down wasn't so great. but I'll get a frame without a lifted BB sometime for sure! Like the discipline.

Octalink MTB cranks/BB's work fine as much as I know. Me and all my friends are certainly satisfied. What's wrong with yours?

After your posts we can gather that a) you bought a new bike at your LBS b) you asked for a pump and a tube to use with the bike when you bought the bike c) you punctured d) the tube had the wrong, but with your rim still usable valve e) but you were unable to note, and later to change, the valve adaptor inside of your pump to fit your pump f) you are arrogant enough to blame this on your LBS and try to flame it by naming it on the hub g) you are a strange dude!
