    What a hidden gem in the big smoke! Hard to figure why more folk don't do this. Action-packed route with something for everyone, from rocks to forests to rivers to climbs. Brilliantly marked route, great marshaling, warm hospitality from the locals .... Definitely underestimated how tough this would be. Will train properly for next year - this is going to become a calendar fixture.

    Marathon was pretty flat and dusty but well organised. A fun morning out for sure. A few folk struggled and bailed in the thick sand but were fortunately not hurt. Nice to burn off some Winter blubber
