  1. Ditto this on my 110. I weigh 90kgs and have not bottomed it ... yet ... tried hard too ...
  2. Hear hear! Bring it Captain .....
  3. Happy Yellow dreams! Post plenty pics. ...
  4. Hmmpphh ... flesh wound is all ... but will be well sulky if it's not sorted by the weekend
  5. Brenton is a bit of a legend up here in the Big Smoke ..... If it says Pyga we just assume BiBi :-))
  6. See now, that's why I posted ... I have a cunning plan ... bruises heal .... and chicks dig scars :-)
  7. LMAO!! That's why Thfc rides with me .... I provide mobile entertainment :-))
  8. Bit slippery in the mud down the rocks. ... Thfc is right - my go-faster lid made me do this :-))
  9. That go-faster stripe works
  10. Myself and Thfc at Thaba this morning ...
  11. Johnsons' Cycle Works in Edenvale sells clear, flexible tape by the running metre .... about 80 Rondts (bargain!) per running metre if memory serves, about 4cm wide .... the type they use in motor sports on cars and bikes. It flexes when applied so you can get it to bend on frame curvatures, etc. and is very tough. Best kept secret ... call the owner, Kim Johnson - great guy - 011 453 9586. I personally dislike the Birzman strips as, when they get tatty and you need to remove them, they leave a horrible residue that only comes off with meths and muchos elbow grease.
  12. Great news Peach. So much to learn! Count me in in +1 mate.
  13. Had my Impact Lows for about a year now and they are worth every cent. Been using them with Spank Spikes and Nukeproof Neutrons and they are brilliant in ALL conditions. In my experience the trade-offs from SPDs in terms of power are negligible; yet the benefits they have in real-world conditions are significant. When you try them you will be convinced after the 1st ride.
  14. Oooohhhh, I might just need some of that tough love too ..... I am often very naughty!!
  15. Nice one Pikey!
  16. ... and they said 26ers were dead .... I give you exhibit A .. in living, eye-bursting splendor .....
  17. On its way to my stable .... comes with optional volume control and shades!
  18. R1,300When R1,300 to R1,400 on average when I last looked.
  19. Have used mine for 8+ months now with FiveTens and they are phenomenal in terms of comfort, grip and performance in all conditions. Remarkable quality and they take a beating without complaint. Would highly recommend to anyone ... BUT do wear shin guards as, when you run out of talent, you will discover that their bite is much worse than their bark ...!
  20. Elixir 5's on my Trance - great. Elixir 9's on my Yeti - brilliant. Got some Code R's on order - am expecting good things! My $ 0.02.
  21. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Andrew Backstrom and his team on several occasions and can unreservedly endorse the Dial'd team for real customer service! Not only is their communication and follow-through fantastic, they have frequently gone the extra mile to source items and offer advice. They clearly differentiate themselves through their service offering and I trust this will ensure they, deservedly, build a successful brand! When it comes to loyalty I vote with my wallet and will continue to do so with Dial'd. Others in the market - local & int'l - can learn a lot from their approach.
  22. I hear you brother.... with one quite noteworthy and remarkable exception - a set of Iodine 3 AM wheels which have survived almost 2 years of (ab)use ....ok, no jumps ...in all conditions - hubs are smooth, rims true .... clearly mine were made on a Friday or I just haven't tried hard enough ...
