  1. My money is on Nishiki...
  2. You'd better hope she's not a hubber and reads this post... Then you'll have bigger problems than an unfit wiff.
  3. myself, 34, 78kg, 1.84m, 12%
  4. 38, but the ego of a 23 year old...
  5. I don't see KY in the list????!???
  6. What about applying this madness to the frame and fork only?
  7. Geez, a lot of sour grapes on this thread! Point is it was for charity, so if you could not afford whatever they paid, then shut the fu@k up, who are you to tell a celebrity what he can or cannot do to raise money from people who have too much to start off with... Clever businessman in my opinion...
  8. None of my pics are there... Only 389 odd pictures in that album.
  9. www.actionphoto.net select the event and then enter your race number...
  10. We had the Argus Mountain Bike challenge this last weekend and the Actionphoto crew was there to take pictures. That same evening they had the images loaded on their website and tagged and everything ready to be ordered. GREAT service guys!!! On the other hand we have Oakpics, which took the pictures LAST month at the DueSouth Xterra (3 weeks ago), and still don't have one single picture of the event loaded on their site. That can't be due to numbers, cause surely there were more Argus MTB photos taken than at the Xterra. Anyway, just wanted to "rant" my frustration.
  11. If it was my money, I would have gone with the Silverback. Just because everyone has a GT or Merida.
  12. Agree, this "W" appended to some ranges is just a moneymaking and marketing thing... Just get the right saddle, and she's A for away!
  13. Dunno, somthing about these Ibis frames I don't like...
  14. Mmm, this does look like the 2008 route... :\
  15. Wow, love the kit... Nice colours!
  16. Aaah, great! Mailed the Cycle Tour for this a couple of weeks ago. Obviously no answer!
  17. That depends on your level of riding. My experience is that a good front shock makes a difference. Hydraulic disks make a difference, gears only make a difference if you're going to push it hard or if you're concerned about weight. The rest (saddle, handlebar, cranks, etc) is personal preference IMHO.
  18. It does' date=' but your specified all risks doesn't cover your bike while racing - only training. [/quote'] Nope: covered whilst racing too Just make sure of this dude... Possible, but unlikely...
  19. EINA F@K!
  20. I prefer the first one personally. Last one looks a bit like a mix-and-match bike.dee_biker2010-02-03 08:03:02
  21. Boy, don't know if you wanna look like that! Sometimes wonder if a body like that could have enough stored glycogen for long rides... But I guess they know what they're doing. Saw a couple of pics of Lance also having a "hoenderborsie"
  22. Fanie, I also had that question a year or two back. Through tried and tested, I found that for training (keeping in mind that you want to lose weight), water should be fine. As long as you use a good recovery drink (containing protein, potassium, magnesium, maybe Glutamine, etc) you should be fine. There is this whole scientific theory that "training on less" and "running on empty" is a good training technique, but I guess at my level, I don't see the point. I have read that some pro's do it. There was an interesting article a couple of months back about Rasmussen's training methods... Bicycling... dee_biker2010-02-01 05:48:35
