Ja, perhaps but it's racing, and I don't think it was reckless or deserving of sanction.

Saw that. Even when Baldassari went to him on the pits to apologise, Marquez tapped hi head to show his annoyance..
  3. It is but the thought of witnessing that kind of episode tempers my enthusiasm. I'm not young enough any more to shrug off something like that.

What was the official result on Baldassari's crash? It looked like a racing incident to me.. He took a chance but hey, it's racing. Opinions?
  5. I saw that. It's terrible news. I've watched a whole lot of his videos over the weekend and he seemed a nice guy. What a shock. How did you find out about it? Are you a fan of his or just looking up Pike's Peak?

  9. Poor oke. Sounds like he was hurt and dazed. Good of you to stop and help. Hope he's OK.
  10. Geez you okes are bastards. Haha. Ok, back to Jorge. What did you think of the article? Personally, I think it makes sense. He's a talented rider and I don't think he just went backwards in the field because he lost his skills.
  11. Interesting article here by Donovan Fourie. https://thebikeshow.co.za/donovan-fourie-i-feel-sorry-for-jorge-lorenzo-and-heres-why/

  13. A question for the streamers. I have installed CyberFlix app and have no problem watching series. However, I can't watch any movies. It keeps telling me I need to validate via a Captcha validation screen and never gets me past that. It then shows no streams available, no matter what movie I choose. Anybody else experience this and/or have advice?
  14. A misty early morning last week in CT..
  15. Bet you it talked reeeaaallly slowly.
  16. Look at that face...Has he been told to sit and stay?
  17. OK, to you and DJR, let me clarify. I will go to Orms again and will probably end up buying from them. I was just a bit surprised and mentioned it kind of in passing. Hasn't put me off Orms. ..Unlike my latest Afrihost encounter...Grrr
  18. Very nice. Just showing off?
  19. Thanks. There are, for me, any way, many issues to decide on. For example, the Canon does Time Lapse. That is a strong point. But then it has a knob and focusing ring ontop which are liable to damage when pulling out of pockets. And it also has a smaller zoom and no viewfinder. It's a question of priorities, I guess. I have been to Orms, thanks but the guy there was not much help. He wouldn't even unbox the Sony so I could compare it. I see his reasoning that some folk want a camera sealed in a box, but it didn't help me much..
  20. OK, So now I've muddied the waters even further by reading a review of the Lumix ZS100 / TZ100. It has great reviews. Eish
  21. Morning guys and thanks for your input. WW and Tankman, those comparison sites are particularly useful. I think the main use I have in mind for the camera is scenery – the ability when out on the bike to stop, take out the camera, and take decent photos. However, that may on occasion include shots in low light, like the braai, night sky etc. On average, light will be normal though. I have read a few reviews and the following aspects are the important ones for me: Sony has a bigger zoom. Canon is better in low light. Sony can do slowmo video. Canon has a bigger sensor. Sony can stitch panoramic shots. Sony is slimmer with no rotating knob on top. Canon has ND filter. Canon has time lapse. Very nice function. I can, however, use my cellphone or GoPro for that. Sony has a viewfinder, Canon not. Both great cameras but overall, I think the Sony is shading it due to zoom and slowmo video. Still undecided, though and I will keep thinking. Thanks again.
  22. I need some advice. I posted before about opinions about a Canon GX1 MK 111 and got an idea. I need a compact camera for taking on rides both MTB and motorbike. The choices seem to be between this Canon GX1 MK 111 or a Sony RX 100 Mk V1 or a Canon G7 Mk 11. Anybody able to give an informed opinion on which to get? Thanks.
