    I'm not sure what the reason is but I had the same kind of thing for years on motorbikes, I could barrel through left handers far more confidently than right hand bends. Possibly because on a left hand bend you are controlling, in the majority of cases, the bike with your dominant or stronger side?

    A company with a cell number as a main contact, a free Gmail address and by the looks of it no website of their own. Add in the fact that their address shows up on Google maps as Best Auto car dealers and you have a lot of reasons to keep your money in your pocket. I would have to be very drunk to send any money their way.

    Had the same experience when I was at Tokai in December with Iwan. The same guy passed us three or four times as we meandered up to Mamba.A quick debate ensued and we came up with the theory that the bugger was hiding in the bushes and waiting for us to pass each time before reappearing and humiliating us. I like that theory far more than the fat and unfit theory that was the alternative.

    I think the area you were in, if by the ruins, was at the bottom of Boomslang. The baboons seem to be moving up and down that area a lot these days from Cobra all the way down. It may be loss of habitat thanks to the logging that is getting them worked up.I remember Daniel from Iride said he had an issue with them a few weeks back.

    They are there to keep the baboons away from the vineyards as far as I know. I got a bit peeved on Wednesday when one of them pushed a group of them directly in front of me as I came down Vasbyt, and kept on firing even though I ended up between him and the baboons. Have noticed the baboons getting seemingly more aggressive lately, I never used to be bothered by them but these days I am wary of them.

    Have to take my hat (helmet?) off to a middle aged looking Rasta I saw a couple of weeks back riding a bmx that was clearly designed for a kid aged eight or so and appeared to comprise mostly of rust. I was heading for a gap in the small fence in front of me when I noticed him motoring across the road heading directly for me. One small change of direction later and he had hopped onto the pavement and as soon as he landed he immediately hopped again and cleared the fence. I sat there on my bike feeling wholly inadequate.

    Two weeks? Damn.Although my main thinking behind the pedal upgrade is the way I was slipping around on wet pedals when Vasbyt was doing a pretty convincing river impression last Sunday. So as long as they were to arrive before winter I should be okay. Probably. I might have to go for the cheaper set and buy two because mini-me will have a hissy fit if I get something decent and leave him out.
