Yep, HR no branding allowed!! I have approached PnP and will wait & see. I really feel that as PnP make enough money off race entries around the country, they can surely ensure that race & especially training routes are made safer. Let's not forget the commuters as well!!

Thanks Kori. I have made contact with both Municipal & National Roads Departments and they have agreed to have signage erected on our behalf. Your suggestion of a speed decrease is great and I am sure it will help. However, the biggest hurdle is the lack of funds to purchase these signs and that is where we need help.

I see that ICASA has told all the networks to get their act together or they will loose their license!!

I say dump the medals & Tees and rather give value for money by dropping the high entry fees and rather give a more 'festive' type after-race hospitality area where families and friends can have a jol after a long & hard ride. ...and, if it is a road race, rather spend it on more marshalls and or get Thinkbike involved where full road closure is not done!! Yep, discussed this last week!! We really need to look at our reactions! This is not who is right and who is wrong!! The correct way of dealing with the situation was to remain calm and if you felt the group was in danger, was to stop completely and wait for him to carry on or move on. Take down his vehicle particulars and report the incident at the nearest Police Station (even if you think nothing will come of it). Thank the Lord that you guys are all OK and I Pray that he will continue to protect you!!

It is not only about you and what your mates will think about you when you show up on a ride looking like a Christmas tree! Rather be an alive un-cool cyclist than a cool dead one!!Always ride in groups of 4 or more. There is safety in numbers!!Be alert and most importantly, don't react to agressive drivers even if they are at fault. Rather note their vehicles details and report the incident.Again, use this advice, don't use it. The choice is yours!! BE SAFE out there!!
