  1. I’m a huge fan on Instagram (although of late have removed a few “stars” who are using for pure advertising”. Because. The whole concept is to load a picture and to make it pretty, it is hard for people to be negative or try drive an agenda. Therefore you leave there feeling a little happier than when you got there. People need to apply the same simple rule they should apply to all aspects of their lives. Does my interaction with this person/job/exercise/app or whatever make me feel better? If the answer is yes, then continue, if not, we’ll, move on.
  2. Why? It not picking up Netflix?
  3. What? No laser?
  4. Go back to NavWorld. They will send to garmin on your behalf at no cost. As long as you purchased it from them.
  5. My worthless 2 cents. Everyone jumping on the FE bandwagon as a bit of knee jerk reaction to proposed new laws. Biggest beneficiaries at the moment is SARS, who are collecting tax on your investments as you cash out and the sharks who are “helping” you through the process. Once you have your now taxed money you are either going to spend it (hope not) or reinvest it somewhere else where it might still be liable to tax in said country. New tax law is complicated and has conditions. Days in country, only over one million, etc. Make sure you have someone who has your best interests at heart and had simulated various paths to take for the next 10+ years.
  6. My 2 cents..... The guys who need should buy online and have delivered to you this week (if you coming back next week as per earlier post). Least amount of hassle and no cash outlay for you. Unless or course......you finding any excuse to go cruise around bike shops. :-)
  7. Financial immigration will change your status from resident to non-resident. It changes nothing on your citizenship.

He was happy in the UAE. Then a French girl came along and .......
  9. I must be the only guy in the world that cannot figure out how to use GT. I find it confusing and cumbersome. And I’ve tried it a few times. :-(
  10. Are we not at the point where existing members should vouch for all new profiles before they live and allowed to post? Some other forums I participate on use this system and it’s appears to be pretty good at keeping the rubbish out. If not the above. Mandatory 10 posts before being allowed to post an ad.
  11. Good LAWD!!!!
  12. Why not take that 10% and use it to build schools, pay for the teachers / other staff, provide lunch meals and basic medical for students. Maybe even keep the text books up to date? Discovery to own and run the program, no sub contacting to thieves. I have no problem when a business is trying to make real, long term change to uplift the country and not individuals who, if can afford to bank probably aren’t the most in need of free help.
  13. There are 3 Tech Banks launching next year. Disco, Zero and Tyme. I do think they are way forward and I will only be putting my hard earned money into one of them. All criteria will be taken into consideration.
  14. Discovery Bank share scheme As part of its value proposition, Discovery Bank will give black depositors 10% equity in the business. These shares will be given to black depositors without any cost or risk to them. The Discovery CEO admitted that there is some political risk because the plan excludes white customers.

While I do agree with you. I do think these sub 60kg midgets do get a huge advantage, especially now with all the electronics taming the beast. Not unique though to bikes of course, F1 drivers are small, and so the list goes on. Rossi is tall and has made it work to a point, but he’s still at a disadvantage. The late Nicky Hayden left MotoGP because the Honda that was financially backed by Repsol from Spain was being build for Midget Pedrosa even although Nicky was the World Champ! Sadly though this has translated into our real world products, I’m 6.2 and there is no hope in hell of me fitting on a new R1 or 1000RR, my knees are almost on the bars and through my chin.
  17. Good Lawd......My eyes cannot unsee that!! Damn you.

Great news. Happy for him. There’s been much sacrifice to get him there. We don’t always see the crazy hard work done in prior years for all these guys.

    Who remembers?

I remember having the Junior card and was SO jealous of my older sisters who had the T cards because they sponsored Motocross!! Those were the cool kids!
  20. Also consider connectivity. Will you be using WiFi or cable. Of course nothing beats a cable but if going WiFi make sure the PC supports 5Ghz and not just 2.4Ghz. Also if using WiFi watch where you end up putting the unit to ensure it can make a good connection. We tend to try hide things around the TV, this can make reliable interference free connections tricky. Keyboard and Mouse? Some nice compact units available but once again plan as it will be wireless with a dongle so will use up a USB port. Also keep in mind many of the wireless keyboard/mouse are designed to be used at a desk so their range can be quite limited. (So might not work from the sofa if it’s far). Decide on what OS you will run. OSX is great on Apple as a media pc. Otherwise Windows or Ubuntu? I would stick with Windows to be honest. I’m happy on Win10. But remember you will need to maintain the OS installed. Remember the most important item will be graphics as this will be a media pc. Make sure you happy with the GPU in the unit. UPS, I’ve installed a small UPS and find it most useful during power cuts / spikes. Windows (if you go that way) doesn’t like being rebooted unexpectedly. Happy shopping.
  21. Budget? They tend to be quite expensive. I’m using an Intel NUC and cannot be happier. A really great option is an older laptop. Sometimes one lying around or second hand. Works a treat. Will be half the price on a mini PC. Apple Mac Mini is the ultimate Media PC IMO. Then the Intel NUC.

    Formula 1...

I believe they could fix F1 by changing these 2 rules. 1. FIA supplied and controlled rear wing. (be able to control drag but importantly also have a lot of control over the turbulent air the front car creates. By reducing this cars will be able to follow much closer) 2. Steel brakes and controlled pads. (No more of this exotic 300km/h to zero in 80 meter crap. Lengthen the braking zone, improve overtaking opportunity)

A dominant manufacturer with a teammate riding shotgun for you. Seems to be a good recipe. One can argue you need to rise to that position I suppose.
