  1. This is terrifying and chilling news. Gonna be VERY cautious rides the next couple of ones.

  3. Helloise, Is perfect - my sis-in-law is in Gordons Bay, maybe we can even arrange that you drive together? I don't like arriving at a place alone and then having to look for other people between 4000 of them! Not sure if she will come through from that side, or sleep over here before, but let me know and we can set things upWernervdmerwe2009-01-16 01:01:41
  4. Slowbee, registered my sis-in-law last night, also for the 26. Not sure how many places still in the 55. Wernervdmerwe2009-01-16 00:58:10
  5. You are welcome to ride with us - what fitness level are you? We are fairly slow riders, guess will ave between 10 and 15km/h - but some of the guys are more competitive and will go faster, others more unfit and will go slower.
  6. Yeah, only FAT16, hence the limit.
  7. 7.2kg!!!!!!! That's the weight of my full camelback!!!!! Still have not found the bar of lead I hid in it then, have you?
  8. That is insane! You must fly up hills weapon... Congrats, well done and wow!
  9. Thanks - the info has been quite helpful. I presume the weight diff is very small on the through-axle? It seems it is more the AM and DH forks that ship with that option - might that change as well?
  10. < Insert intelligent remark here />
  11. How tall is she?
  12. I must admit, after watching them practice on Sat - the same question rolls around in my head... How do you get from XC into DH if you are a pansy like myself?
  13. Yup - my vote will also be on the Juicy's rather than dissimilar brakes. Will look weird will one silver lever and one black The fork should be fine, will need an adapter at the back.
  14. Absolutely... Although I must admit I might become an compulsive shopper since I have joined. So far bought a duel sus frame, 100mm air fork, 80mm air fork, derailer and a wheel set in the last 2 months! Hi my name is Werner and I am a hubber...
  15. Where did you go too? Was it like a holiday - if so, hope you had a blast! I had the same thing with my new bike - the guy doing the setup said I have lower back flexibility problems. Seeing to physio on Wed when my cast comes off, wanna ask her abt it if I remember. If I remember will report back what she said.
  16. Not wanting to throw any spanners into any works, but I found the Trance was a more comfortable geometry than the Anthem, specially for marathon events?
  17. Just went and bought me one of those! Will see how they work - thx!
  18. 19. I can imagine! Do you cycle or walk up? Friend of mine put most of his rides on motionbased, his username was davidbrownct or davidbrowncpt - will give it a browse and see if I can find any of his Tokai single track rides
  20. Yeah! Post it! I can not be the only compulsive bike shopper here... Maybe blind auction to spice up the new year? I'll start with R200..
  21. My three would be Cycles Direct (might be waiting list) Lifecycle Cycle Lab - they helped me out lotof
  22. Johnny, you on the Tokai side of the mountain hey? My arm is still in the cast for 2 weeks, so if you want and can make a plan you are welcome to use my Edge 305 to map, else I can ask around who else have ridden there with GPS. We only do from mamba down then the one that one leads into, then bluegum then fairy-something, so might be able to find a track of that, but I am sure you are well versed with those
  23. Hi Johnny, Found this on mapmyride - it opens a Google earth window, but you can choose the export format http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/south-africa/cape-town/636433480896 Wernervdmerwe2009-01-05 05:55:38
  24. Well, the next person in the Cpt area that orders from CRC, please let me know! Would like to get in on that... I can not find a Marchozzi to Schroder adapter in Cpt, they have for R80, but shipping on that is R150...
