  3. Well done to all. I must say, watching on TV , it felt like there was less atmosphere in the stadium as I'm so use to the billboards being slapped (on both sides and for a longer distance as the runners run around the field. How did you guys find the new stadium finish compared to Kingmead, besides the extra km that is?
  4. I here the company who was given the contract to make the official pacing bands failed to deliver, here it is if anyone might want it Slap_Bands_2018.pdf Best of luck guys

  10. Sorry Emjay but i TOTALLY disagree with you here. As runners we run against the flow of traffic, a cyclist has his or her back to the traffic and can't see cars coming as easily as a runner who is facing them can. Therefore I strongly believe and live by the notion that it is the Runners responsibility to move out the way, either into the road if traffic is clear and indicate to the cyclist that they can keep left or onto the pavement if there is traffic coming! EDIT: As sporting people no matter which discipline we need to look after each others safety and end this nonsense culture of entitlement.
  11. Funnily enough i was just talking to my GF this morning about the day i relocated to Jhb from Durbz. I left Durbz at 04:30 on the 27th of June and it was 17deg, i arrived in Jhb at 13:00 and it was -1. Needless to say, that winter was the coldest of my life. Thankfully it doesn't get that cold anymore - Touch wood.
  12. A while ago i went to two different bio's, both told me i have knee tracking issues but both prescribed totally different ways to solve the problem. With all the training that was involved for tri's i neglected these to the extent that by the time i got of the bike i couldn't walk let alone run the other day. So i've decided to can my Comrades aspirations and spend the next few months sorting out my knee tracking issues instead. Is there anyone here who has successfully gone through this process that can direct me to the person that helped them get "Fixed" so i can have a better sporting life going forward?
