  1. Looking forward to the day, hopefully soon ,when I can say that my favourite is."I Can See Clearly Now"
  2. Ya' date=' but there's no direction issue with the cleats, they're easier to access, and you can just draw around them with a magic marker before you take them off, so you know where to put them back [/quote'] Yes, but there are still only 2 directions. Forward or back. All this drawing with a marker business is just too much of a mission.
  3. Swapping pedals has to be far easier than swapping cleats. Only 2 pedals to unscrew. There are normally 3 screws on each cleat ie 6 to unscrew. Remember you also have to align the cleats properly when you put them back.
  4. Fritz Pienaar in Centurion runs regular workshops on safety and self defence for cyclists. Attended one 2 weeks ago. Pretty informative.
  5. You can fit any std pulley to an X.9. the pulley will run in a different position and you will have to adjust the derailleur position. I've done this. Can't say that it was worth the effort but it can be done. Just go for the "real" thing.
  6. Noooooo By that stage it is too late. No grip, no traction = BIG FALL.
  7. Just buy "Genuine " Sram parts and get done with it. All this business of shims or filing things down to fit doesn't make sense to me. Just get the correct replacement parts.
  8. It is fantastic. I have always enjoyed it. Just very frustrating being forced to stay off the bike. Only on the bike for 2 months since 14 May last year. I missed so much. Races, Sabie Experience and Sani2C.
  9. BACK ON MY BIKE AT LAST. Did about 40 kilometres. Lots of Great singletrack and a few nasty little climbs. It went a lot better than expected after being off for almost 3 months..
  10. Take it to your LBS and ask them to send it to Fox for repairs. Ask your LBS to let you have a loan shock in the meantime. If your LBS is any good they should be prepared to lend you a shock while yours is repaired.
  11. Santa Cruz, Yeti, Orange (if we could get them)
  12. Doesn't seem to be a long weekend over 31 May. Are you going to be there cat-i.? Do I get to see your new bike at last.?jagwil2009-04-12 13:50:34
  13. Why is everybody so keen on Trek or Giant. What about Scott, Gary Fisher, Specialized or Mongoose or for that matter Marin????
  14. Come on Pretoria and Johannesburg Hubbers. Join this ride. It should be fun. jagwil2009-04-12 12:44:47
  15. Exactly. I'm old enough to be your grandfather! You trying to tell me that I am old enough to be her great-grandfather.
  16. By the way I don't consider myself to be old yet. I will only consider myself to be old when I can no longer ride my mountain bike.
You two don't qualify as OLD. You can't call yourselves DOM's yet. DOM= Dirty Old Men
  18. Don't change anything. It looks perfect as it is.
  19. "The Lords of the (RINGS or) ROTORS"
  20. NO !!! Bacardi.
  21. When you "break" a brake it probably would scream. If it screams when you brake' date=' then the advice above is probably good. [/quote'] thanx for backing me up - use J?germeister! Come to think of it I would actually prefer to drink the J?germeister!
