  1. Awesome. Well done everyone! I will definitely join some of the Afri Ski events next year!
  2. I am glad you also love yours, I am a die hard fan now. I agree the bike requires a bit more effort to get the front up, but that central position is responsible for the excellent handling. It definitely feels like you are riding in the bike and not on it. I do feel like my bb height raised a bit with the bigger wheels, so I might change to the low setting. I first want to test the bike on one of our most rocky local trails, the slightly higher bb might be a blessing. Cheers Edit: Oh and the wider rims are one of the best upgrades I have ever made. I also had 21mm internal rims before.
  3. Yo Hairy Thanks man, how are you liking yours? The most noticeable difference between my Stumpy and the Spitty was how the Spitty loves to corner. It just loves to lean and rip. Now with my new wheels, I cannot get the bike to slide like it did previously. Now I experience serious g-forces when cornering. Sometimes I feel like I am going to pass out, like what happens to astronauts in a centrifuge.
  4. I converted from 26" to 650B last week. I bought a pair of e*13 trs+ rims from The Trailhead, with 28mm internal width. I paired the rims with a Vigilante 2.3 up front and Trail Boss 2.4 Tough casing in the rear. The tires were quite a biatch to get on the rims and the Trail Boss with the Tough casing was very difficult to seat with a floor pump, but I managed. The combination is great, I rode a 50kms race on Saturday to test them out and was fully amazed. Rollover was great, rolling resistance acceptable, grip was insane, wider rims providing much more support, and with the lower pressures much more forgiving. Thanks to The Trailhead for the bitchin' rims and Dubbelbuys for the sweet deal on the tires (I haven't even paid him yet).
  5. Hi Fleming I have a Sunrace 11-42, 10 speed cassette and use it with a SRAM X9 medium cage mech. It works flawlessly, and the quality is very good. Do not worry it will work with you SRAM/Shimano mech, it may just need a bit of tuning to get it perfect.
