  1. like what happened with power meters...
  2. A big heads up to the whoever organised the security at Kayamandi this morning. I saw a police van and a few guys on bikes with reflective jackets patrolling the road. It was great to see. Well done and thank you!
  3. She tried. He rode off. But I'm taking the other route first to see if someone is missing the bike. We can then take it from there.
  4. Hey Guys, I've spotted a Giant (Trance I think), turquoise, near James Town on Sunday being ridden by a character who one could see could not afford it. A colleague at work also spotted it on Friday. She knows the kid riding it. If anybody is missing a bike, get in contact with me to see what we can do.
  5. Btw, nitrogen is not an inert gas! And it does react. Think NOx gases from diesel reaction etc
  6. Oo oo. And dont get me started on gap cover. The agents you have to pay extra in case your doctor charges more than medical aid rates. Wtf
  7. Agree with seeker. A runner's reaction time to on coming traffic is much greater than when cycling in oncoming traffic. The only thing you accomplish when cycling in the wrong direction is you can look the motorist in the eye when he hits you
  8. Why stop at mtb? Cycling in general would be great. Perhaps include triathlons. Getting this kind of info for the other events is also painful so your site could be a gem.
  9. No. Torque = force x length. Thus, the longer the length the less force you need to deliver the same torque.
  10. Ai dude. Sorry to hear. This really sucks. Glad you can post about it
  11. Should one not rather look at the amount of power a person can transfer. To the wheel? Ie if you have stronger legs then a shorter crank will do you good as you can apply the same amount of torque to the wheel, as opposed to someone who is a bit weaker who might benefit from longer cranks. Of course taking clearance etc into consideration
  12. ...and the winner gets to keep his bike
  13. Interesting that they did not take the camera
  14. Not sure, but that gap between steerer tube and top cap looks suspicious. Should the cap not be flush with the steerer tube. As it is now, any play from the stem could directly influence the cap. I might be wrong
  15. Actually, Germany looks starved, but The Netherlands on the other hand...
