  1. Quick questions: If you have such a demand why you need a coach with an existing client base and a recognised name in the industry? Should you not be able to fill coaching spots with the demand? Also if he/she brings existing clients over are you going to take your % off them as well or just the new clients you hand over?
  2. Thats great but how about some details of the 3 days you putting on as a race?
  3. Yes, please post details on routes, start times, costs etc.
  4. Thats because the 2 guys who rode away from everyone in the 1st 350m from day 1 never rode day 2.
  5. Thats a pity, day 3 wasnt to bad but the other days were not really friendly and safe at parts. Still a really great event / race / tour, it caters for everyone.
  6. My 1st Panorama Tour and I really enjoyed it. Stage 1 I found so hard with the climb back up after the turn around. I really battled up there and so did my partner and then it kept dragging on and on. We lost so much time there and used up so much energy as we were all alone. Stage 2 I found so fast but manageable until the left turn then it was all downhill and you just followed wheels but all hell broke loose and we were once again on the limit but we did managed to do so much better except having the leading ladies of Yolandi Du Toit and her partner simply ride away from us without a breaking a sweat which was not good for my manly ego I have to admit. Stage 3 was tough, I did introduce myself to the "ex" Colonel at the start by the bathroom though and he said they were going hard on Longtom, we barely hung on until Longtom pass with the group where truth be told the 2 of them rode away from everyone and left the other mixed team for dead and many others including us as we were already in trouble. Stage 4 was our best stage, went really well and AndyDude you came flying passed us on the last roller coming back, you must of been doing about 10km/h faster than us. Big respect. The roads I found pretty dangerous, do you know if they will be fixed for 2015??
  7. Cycling South Africa reports that Mr. Pieter Lategan (Cycling SA licence number 68808) returned an adverse analytical finding in an in-competition test conducted by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) at the OFM Mountain Bike Classic event on 2 November 2013. The SAIDS process has been concluded and Mr. Lategan will serve a two year period of ineligibility as from 2 November 2013. Mr Lategan is therefore prohibited from competing in any organised sport until and including 1 November 2015. Cycling South Africa respects the independence of the SAIDS process and respects the outcome. Cycling South Africa further reiterates its zero-tolerance approach to doping in sport. Cyclists are encouraged to visit the SAIDS website (www.drugfreesport.org.za) to familiarise themselves with all the issues regarding anti-doping.
  8. You cant hold a peak 365 days a year
  9. Wow haven't read that much pooh in a long time. Recreational or Pro level, having a properly structured training program by someone who knows what they doing will always reap the benefits. Often Pro level athletes are the hardest to train cause they "know everything" Sorry Witkop your post is far from accurate.
  10. There is only 1 company to use for coaching in South Africa. Science to Sport. www.sciencetosport.com I know a few hubbers use them and I have purchased their online training programs for Argus and now for Sani. I used FitTrack programs before and while those are ok, the Science to Sport programs beat them hands down and I have seen a huge improvement in my riding. Did my 1st Sub 3 Argus from B group this year in the wind compared to last years time also from B. Cut 17 min off my time is harder conditions. For the personal 1 on 1 I know a few Hubbers use John Wakefield and Mike Posthumus with great results. The 2 of them are also racing at the front end of their age categories at either road or mtb or both so they practice what they preach.
  11. I did ask myself that, why on earth did you buy a Pinarello fake or real in the 1st place? There are SOOOO many BETTER bikes out there for a lot less. The amount of cash you have thrown down the drain could of put to better use. A better and cheaper bike, a training program and a lot of proper "medical assistance" that will make you win any F seeded group fun ride classic and club ride on a Saturday. You will be so charged from all that you still have energy to fix the garden in order to take the edge off and think of next weeks club ride on where to attack and solo to the end.
  12. Whatever, I know guys who finished top 40 on 8-12 hrs a week.
  13. This lady should rather keep her mouth shut, always has so much to say. They won the jersey outright and Fedgroup never and if Waylon never pulled out due to illness, they would of won it. The team has such a dark cloud on them for so many reasons. When they finished no one was there other than Bridgette to see them. No fans congratulated them or anything. They stood around looking honestly lost. It was actually rather sad but at the same time a telling sign of what people thought. Once Scott, Cannondale, ToPeak etc came through the finish area people were shouting and screaming. That summed it all up for me.
  14. Not sure how you can say that when Kevin and David, as I have said in a earlier post, would protest Burry and Sauser any and every chance they got at Epic or any other event they raced against him/them to try get time over them. It got so bad at 1 stage it was ugly as sin as it got to a point when they protested Burry for wearing a wrong shirt or so they thought. If you cheat or break the rules you guilty, that applies to any rider/racer, there were more teams than just Scott who wanted to protest, Scott just got theirs in there 1st so why arent you attacking the other teams? The Fedgroup/Scott deal did not end amicably in anyway and there is more of that to come so their troubles are not over from what I heard and rightfully so.
  15. Shame, your team not looking so good anymore? Get life yourself and besides why would I ever want to ride for a team with such a dark cloud over them? Last thing I would ever want to do is ride for this bunch. I dont even think Ricco would want to ride for them.
  16. No its not and I also heard today while waiting at 1 of the water points as 2 different team staff were talking and said that his wife swore or verbally abused at an official or jury member in a meeting earlier in the week. Also got a hefty fine.
  17. He isnt allowed at the Epic due to his doping ban as a rider or team manager/worker, thats their rules and he broke them.
  18. over at www.sciencetosport.com they have a number of training programs pre-built for beginner, intermediate and advanced for a number of events and the Epic is one of them. They also have 1 on 1 personal coaching should you choose that option rather. The 4 coaches, Jeroen, John, Ben and Mike are incredible and leaders in SA when you look at their athlete list from Pro to novice and the results they get. I am biased here yes, but everyone is raving about them.
  19. I dont think he has any money after Epic to appeal with the amount of fines his team has accumulated.
  20. Where do you get the info he is the strongest? Your love for this team is amazing through this dark cloud they under with doping positives, course cutting and cheating, fines etc. something I haven't seen since the days of the Lance fan club. I commend you.
  21. The way they supported Brandon when he tested positive for doping and being party buddies after hours there is no way they will cash out, they support what is going on which is good cause if they left no one in their right mind will sponsor this team.
