  1. That handle is good.
  2. Give credit to tweeter to tweeted that. Its only fair.
  3. From twitter last night and this sums it up for me: @PelotrainRacing 1/2 What amazes me about the Froome interview is that he knows NOTHING about Pro cycling, doping products or practices or anything cont... @PelotrainRacing 2/2 remotely close to procedures or his own health. This oke is a poster child for ADHD. Michelle Counds comments, let's not go there.
  4. Like a swimming squad or what? Can you post a picture of a squad in the gym?
  5. Not sure thats the best idea for RvR with no sponsor for next year. Often a good showing in the Tour helps contract negotiations for the following year.
  6. R700 for 1 days racing??
  7. Alberto's Tour team is not at Dauphine and his trusted team is racing other events or recovering from Giro for Tour. He said they going there as a training excercise and to give younger and new riders in the team a chance to race and develop and isnt expecting the team to be built around him. Besides he doesnt need a team cause he is giving a full Tour Sky team a lesson.
  8. Coach yes, selector no. Big difference.
  9. I dont say the system is right in any way at all, to me its flawed but if that is what or how the system works and a athlete wants to compete in the Games then they would need to abide by the rules or not throw a tantrum when he/she doesnt get selected based on criteria. Strongest rider must go its that simple and it shouldnt be based on some points system.
  10. Although I believe Rourke or James to be the better pick over Phil it is what it is however, for James to go out publicly like a spoilt little kid and outright blame Dr Jeroen Swart for swaying or using his influence to select Phil is really low. This isnt the 1st time James has bad mouthed Dr Swart, even while Dr Swart was was coaching him at the time and made some pretty mind blowing claims about Dr Swart and Burry's relationship and coaching methods to name a small things he did to discredit the Dr. When he had no clue about anything. The decision is based on highest ranked rider and that is Phil so Phil is going. James has been racing in USA and staying in Europe and has missed some of the events that clearly gave ranking status. He should of been here for them its that simple. This also applies to anyone else for that matter. My 2c.
  11. I am stealing these off someones twitter account but how is this reply from Michelle Cound. I am convinced she does more harm than good for Chris. On another forum there is not 1 good thing to be said about her and the way she goes on and handles herself. http://twitpic.com/e5tnuy http://cdn.adnxs.com/p/f1/0f/18/1b/f10f181bb2bab27be9e9d27531cc56b6.gif http://twitpic.com/images/hud-img-arrow.png Rotate photo http://twitpic.com/images/hud-img-plus.png View full size http://twitpic.com/images/views-icon.png 259 about 7 hours ago Michelle Cound's reply to Froome's inhaler question 0 Comments
  12. from a pump you mean? i.imgflip.com/9g4mr.gif
  13. I wouldnt believe a thing Cound says. Froome each day in each interview and the way he acts lately is far to similar to Lance of back then. Its sad, I used to be a fan of his until recently and until Cound started to make a noise.
  14. Sponsor and "sugar daddy" financially assisted.
  15. 1 long ride 1 Hi intensity session 1 Recovery ride
  16. Quick questions: If you have such a demand why you need a coach with an existing client base and a recognised name in the industry? Should you not be able to fill coaching spots with the demand? Also if he/she brings existing clients over are you going to take your % off them as well or just the new clients you hand over?
  17. Thats great but how about some details of the 3 days you putting on as a race?
  18. Yes, please post details on routes, start times, costs etc.
  19. Thats because the 2 guys who rode away from everyone in the 1st 350m from day 1 never rode day 2.
  20. Thats a pity, day 3 wasnt to bad but the other days were not really friendly and safe at parts. Still a really great event / race / tour, it caters for everyone.
  21. My 1st Panorama Tour and I really enjoyed it. Stage 1 I found so hard with the climb back up after the turn around. I really battled up there and so did my partner and then it kept dragging on and on. We lost so much time there and used up so much energy as we were all alone. Stage 2 I found so fast but manageable until the left turn then it was all downhill and you just followed wheels but all hell broke loose and we were once again on the limit but we did managed to do so much better except having the leading ladies of Yolandi Du Toit and her partner simply ride away from us without a breaking a sweat which was not good for my manly ego I have to admit. Stage 3 was tough, I did introduce myself to the "ex" Colonel at the start by the bathroom though and he said they were going hard on Longtom, we barely hung on until Longtom pass with the group where truth be told the 2 of them rode away from everyone and left the other mixed team for dead and many others including us as we were already in trouble. Stage 4 was our best stage, went really well and AndyDude you came flying passed us on the last roller coming back, you must of been doing about 10km/h faster than us. Big respect. The roads I found pretty dangerous, do you know if they will be fixed for 2015??
  22. Cycling South Africa reports that Mr. Pieter Lategan (Cycling SA licence number 68808) returned an adverse analytical finding in an in-competition test conducted by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) at the OFM Mountain Bike Classic event on 2 November 2013. The SAIDS process has been concluded and Mr. Lategan will serve a two year period of ineligibility as from 2 November 2013. Mr Lategan is therefore prohibited from competing in any organised sport until and including 1 November 2015. Cycling South Africa respects the independence of the SAIDS process and respects the outcome. Cycling South Africa further reiterates its zero-tolerance approach to doping in sport. Cyclists are encouraged to visit the SAIDS website (www.drugfreesport.org.za) to familiarise themselves with all the issues regarding anti-doping.
  23. Where is the "Ex" Colonel when you need him.....
  24. You cant hold a peak 365 days a year
  25. Wow haven't read that much pooh in a long time. Recreational or Pro level, having a properly structured training program by someone who knows what they doing will always reap the benefits. Often Pro level athletes are the hardest to train cause they "know everything" Sorry Witkop your post is far from accurate.
