    NICE, what is your predicted time. Did the 42last year 2;26. Gonna be my first 60km. Hoping for a 3;45. Unknown territory.

    Wont be that bad this year. 10 min between each groups. Otherwise just be patient, we all gonna have fun. Enjoy the vibe. C U on the 60km route.

    Sometimes the Zipper opens up and you loose your tools. I have a water bottle cage on my seat post with a bottle where I carry all my tools. Works like a charm. No CLING, CLONG.

    WHO IS FEELING BLUE NOW. . Africa is a tough country, we wont ride in THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, but we will look for K.K RIDING ON OUR OWN IN hotspot AREAS.HOPE YOU BOUGHT YOUR MATES A ROUND AS WELL. You can rest asure that we will read of another cyclist that has been mugged cycling on his own. Hope that I am wrong. To those cycling this weekend, be safe and remember to ride in groups.

    Dont agree with you. If you ride alone it could happen. Most of us ride in groups of 4 or more. But thats m2c worth. We cant be bigger targets than what we already are. Expensive bikes, kit, cell phones and cash make their world go round. I will always have mine with me and Hope never to use it.SAFETY IN NUMBERS, NEVER RIDE ALONE.

    Only the first and last climb that is long. the rest is awesome. Stick to the 42, you will have more bragging rights with your mates. M2c worth.

    Mob justice works in the townships. Back in the early 90`s they sorted out the criminals in their ares very quickly. Neckless was the in thing and crime was limited to petty for a long time. An elderlyman once told me that a GOOD killing(neckless) of a criminal scared the rest into submission for a while.

    Its either 1650 or 1910. Read it in a mail a while ago. The 42 has 1430m of climb.

    Criminals are a law unto their own. I rather have a gun and not need it, than need a gun and not have it.Protecting my family is NO.1 in my life. Have seen too many incidents where the situation could`ve been different if the victim had a gun to protect himself. You dont always have to shoot to kill(Don`t burn me for this). A firearm can be used to deter the criminals as well. Regarding who must be on Carteblanche, I suggest the cyclists that have been mugged.

    Agree, I was one for 12 years. Slapgat and no respect for the uniform is the in thing. They(men) are even wearing studs in the ears,eye brows whislt in uniform. Cant drive properly, and have no idea of what being a cop is. Its a sorry state of affairs. Give it 3 years then you will see how pathetic the SAPS bacome. more and more cops become criminals. 12 hour shifts is not the problem, they only work 2 day shifts follwed by 2 night shifts. Off for 4 days then back to work. More than enough time to rest in between shifts. Only a hanfdull of good cops left, to carry the tourch.

    Most cops are killed cause they think it wont happen to them. Lost a couple of mates this way. Just watch the way the most cops sit in their vehicles when you drive past them. toooo laid back, with a dont care attitude.

    I agree with you, I carry a gun in order to protect myeself and fellow riders. I have had plenty of firearm training and know when to shoot. Always ride at the back of the group as we go past. Always on RED ALERT. Always looking at the public when we pass the hot spot. It is merely for protection. I understand the fact that you cant shoot from behind, thats looked at as attemted murder/murder. imagine you get knocked off your bike by more than one guy and they start to kick the **** out of you. A gun carring cyclist comes past and just waves at you. Pissed off comes to mind if he does nothing. A warning shot(into the ground) to scare them can save your live.Just a thought. NEVER RIDE ALONE. REGARDS ARMED SMURFY.
