  1. Remember, we need a date from the family to plant the bike. We need all the exposure that we can get from the media.
  2. How about we all just rock up at the Grand Parade one morning and ride the N1. Block it for all vehicles like the Tow trucks did years ago. They got alot of attention. P@#$%^D a lot of people off that morning, but got the message across. Just a thought.
  3. We can get Ryan KFM to mention it the week leading up to it. Will ask Shaun Peters who MC`s a lot of races to spread the word as well.
  4. That's the correct way, you need to know how many will be joining. They cost a pretty penny as well. If we can have Marshalls on Bikes to ensure that the fellow cyclists stay within the Yellow line it should be ok. This said, from past experience some fellow cyclists don't really care when on a memorial ride. They take over the road as in the case with Dr. Louw about 3 years ago. That just pisses off the motorists. The rules of the memorial ride should be spelled out at the meeting point. A support vehicle to ride at the back of the bunch. A vehicle in the front to keep the pack together. Please stop at the traffic lights and stop streets if any. Its not easy to control a large group of people. m2c worth
  5. I got Chev Utility. That ground is very hard. Where do you plan to plant it?
  6. Jip will return it. Do we have a date in mind for the memorial ride?

  10. Just popped down to the LBS Cyclosport. Eloff donated an old 26 fork, 2 wheels and a saddle for the GHOST bike. Let me know who is going to build it so that I can get the parts to him/her. Cyclosport always willing to help.
  11. Took a pic of Burry`s Ghost bike in Port Shepstone in December. An idea perhaps.
  12. Here are pics if the kids bike that where stollen.
  13. The Dik Daisies also completed the DC in Daisie style. All 12 crossed the line. Hell we had lots of fun. No punctures or breakdowns on the day.(had enough on the One Tonner). Clocked the Heat at 42.7 leaving Bonnievale. Thank goodness for the wind. Thumbs up to the Marshalls and staff on the road. Well done. C U all next year.
  14. They are Epic. Had a similar experience with a lost Go Pro 3 years ago.
  15. Hope the wind stays away. Dit het ons lekker geklap laas Saterdag met die Tip Trans.
  16. Hi, I have had mine at 208 already. One the first 110km of the Baviaans it was around the 170ish. Once the climbing started it maxed around 155, and stayed there till the end. I generally run high, on our training rides my mates all have atleast a 20-25 lower heart rate. That said they are only 6 years younger, shorter and weigh about 12-15kg heavier. Been cycling for about 4.5 years now, always have had a very high HR. Went to the doc and he did his bit and said that all is well. I do try and ride on around 160-165 on the endurance rides. Andy forgot to add our weight stats. 90kg 1.8m and Bald
