Before you pay for the bike we will go and verify the bike. We will collect Monday to Friday till 20:00. The courier company can collect it from our premises in Blackheath. We charge R500 for the Northern and Southern suburbs. We are willing to go into the Boland and West Coast, cost to be negotiated. We will supply pics of the bike as we wrap and box it. We will treat your bike as if it was our own. Please contact us for further information Eddie Cockerill 0780382732 eddie.cockerill@gmail.com Tony 0824539383.
  5. Seeding wont help as they take your road race times to determine your mtb staring times. 2 different races all together. They will use your Argus road race time for the Karoo to Coast Mtb event.
  6. I also had a bracket break. It happend on the Karoo to Coast last year. Kept the part that clamped onto my handlebar. Sent a picture to Gopro and they replaced my camera as it went tumbling down the side of the mountain. Had no if`s and butts from them. Very well handled and replaced within 2 weeks. Even got an upgrade. Bought the new version(blue) bracket. Works better and the camera is very solid once in place.
  7. We paid R1000 for the Transkaroo 240km race. Excluding transport and accomodation. Its getting very costly, thats why we only do 4-5 races a year compaired to about 10 the previous years. The standard of goddie bags has also dropped.
  8. Phone another bike shop or 2, and ask about the particular bike you want to purchase. Get their feel on the bike.
  9. Hi, you can contact Marc at Attitude cycles 021 8257770. They ride Tuesday and Thursday nights, and have a backup vehicle. Saterday and Sunday mornings it a long or short ride depending on the weather. A great bunch of cyclists.

  11. Very sad indeed, thats why I carry my pistol and never cycle alone.
  12. My mate stays there and the crime has gone through the roof in the last couple of months. Hi-jacking, murder and burglaries galore. Very dark at night and lots of tall trees and high walls. Be vigilant, aware.
  13. We used that route a couple of times, and I dont have a permit for that. I do have a permt for the Botlery Hills routes. Yes there are dogs on route. We had no gates at the time of using the route. Enjoy.

  15. Let your wife follow the other support crews. Easy route map and road this time round. I think that we will all be greeting one another up Ou Berg. Packed in my OLD takkies for the walk. . PACE,DRINK AND EAT REGULARLY! Dont make the mistake I made last year. My first time and I almost never made it.
  16. Very sad to hear. My mates GIANT REVEL 29er(black) was stolen off his bike rack at the bike shop(northern subs) on the 5th of this month. He was busy buying a new one and on going to the parking lot to collect the old one to use as a trade in discovered that it had been stolen. :cursing:
  17. Got a Sola 1, best buy for your money. Well speced and lighter than most other popular brands in the same price range. Very good aftersales service.
  18. Just look at Bafana. EISH!!!!!!!
  19. Anyone got place for one rider on Saterday night. Mate off mine wants to do the ride, but needs a lift back to the Northern suburbs. He will help with the costs. Regards.
  20. Bottelary is R450/year.
  21. What, at the power plant where we all take our families.
  22. He also organises night rides with a back up vehicle at night. It gives us piece of mind when cycling.(Not to mention the leadership that he gives to the juniors that participate in the school league).
  23. Can someone please teach the guys in the Pick n Pay and Nedbank sponsored clothing how to ride in large groups. They caused lots of havock by swaying from left to right, cutting in between cyclists and just had no regard for the other cyclists. Had to raise my voice a couple of times as they caused others to brake and swerve in order to avoid them. Having dropped back to the PC starting group it is amaising to see the amount of silly mistakes that unfit riders make, ie stopping in the middle of the road, pulling out infront of on coming bikes, walking in the middle and right side of a road/hill. That said it was an amaising day, hope those that got hurt will make a speedy recovery. Great Argus c u next year.
  24. PPA should look at their list of sponsored clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. Hi, did anyone perhaps find a racetec chip at the Argus mtb 55km finish on Sunday. I lost it in one of the tents after the race. Chip nr. 98611 Regards Eddie 0780382732
