  1. It's a small world we live in - obviously way too small for the dumbass now sitting behind bars. Well done to DirtRyder for posting and Max it's awesome that you've got your ride back, oh, and to the SAPS guys - you've restored some faith in your abilities, well done
  2. Perhaps a local entrepreneur / hawker using the wire to display their wares?
  3. Depends on the bike and parts but generally you will get more selling off the individual parts - as Jigghead says a bit more admin
  4. Unfortunately theft of Hilux's and Fortuner's is just too common - amongst my mates I can count 3 double cabs and 2 Fortuner's in the space of the last 2 years, all in Gauteng. Most of them have now shifted over to other brands (or in one case to a Land Cruiser double cab) purely because of this.
  5. I like the STR, no, make that I like the STR a lot BUT why fit cable guides for shifter cables to a so-called SS frame? Perhaps make it an option? For those of us looking for a SS only frame it's really not necessary. Any chance Momsen can let you have a frame without any of the guides?
  6. I did a Breedts Nek ride a while back and had exactly the same thing happen. I'm riding along enjoying the quiet when suddenly there's this heavy bass getting louder and louder, I thought it must be a taxi parked somewhere along the road but then 3 guys come into view riding towards me and one of them also has his "sound system" in his Camel Bak. Pretty impressive sounds from something so small but I'm seriously glad I was cycling in the opposite direction and not behind them all the way with their music going
  7. D&H; man those were the days! RIP Basil, condolences to family and friends
  8. Freaking crazy - 2 guys with a gun & a knife and then still to hit the cyclist with a brick!! Really hope the rider is okay
  9. A set of SLX M675 (front and rear) will currently set you back R2150-00 at CWC
  10. Well done Nick! Hopefully the NPO registration will open a few corporate doors
  11. Hope the cyclist is OK and heals up soon. To the dumbass who knocked him down - I really hope you get caught you, you $$$$$$g $$$s!!
  12. There's a couple of ad's that appear / disappear / re-appear. If you want to sell something quickly just describe it properly & honestly (ie if it's used say so, don't spin a story about it being new) and ask a realistic price!
  13. A recent irritation - an ad is posted for a new Shimano Zee shifter for sale at R350, I PM and indicate I'll take it at the R350 as advertised, I get a PM'd reply saying there's an offer of R380 but if I want it I can have it at R400! I re-check the advert and see that the shifter is now listed at R300 and at the same time I receive another PM saying I can have it at the R350 as originally advertised. WTF?! There were so many prices quoted I just walked away from it.
  14. Wishing you everything of the best with the new venture
  15. Just saw that it's on News24 as well now http://www.news24.com/Live/SouthAfrica/News/Gunpoint-robbery-of-a-mountainbiker-in-Somerset-West-caught-on-GoPro-20140604
