  1. Full transparency with clients wrt what really needs replacing, and not just upselling for a easy buck. Communication is key. Treat the 2008 26inch bike customer same as the 2022 ebike R250k bike customer. If have whatsapp or online presence, ensure what's on website site is available or advised "held at warehouse etc" And prompt responses ( to emails -24hrs, whatsapp - same day) if these are options for your your shop
  2. They usual very prompt on response if enquiring via website. Perhaps try the Instagram page
  3. Lucky you, even with inserts I ride 1.4bar. You probably a much more skilled n Lightfoot rider too👍🏼
  4. 1.1 bar, that's low. You run insert with?
  5. Always preferred shimano feel of lever and more precise when shifting. Had 1 too many sram nx and gx derailleurs snapping on me n frequently needing to be fine tuned. Like for like, shimano definitely better buy and reliability. However still comes down to the guy tuning it, however I know you ontop of that so should be good. Go shimano
  6. Saw this beauty of a frame in person, raw finish is definitely something else . Black carbon stays matching with fork n dropper 👌🏼 Going to be a sick ride.
  7. this has even made me somewhat of a masterchef to my kids lol
  8. will solve my getting back to "previous fitness" level problem too i guess Need to work my way into that level of grit and determination😵
  9. reason i have a bike is bcoz i need the outdoors to calm my soul , but since coming off from a double fracture , getting back into riding and new work commitments, its posing alot more difficult to get back into my former fitness due to lack of frequent riding. so idea is to use this for evening sessions - so when i do get gaps to ride, its not that much of a fitness struggle and can keep up with the buddies on a ride and be more enjoyable. previously i could ride 3 times a week - now once a week is my goal to get out ther
  10. i dont mind the weather - but tokai in the wet isnt very kind to my drivetrain 😬
  11. Need some advice from the smart hubbers How do I know what travel is this airspring It's rockshox. My Google search skills ran out
  12. I just ride bikes, so need to keep fit So looking at kikr snap or tacx 👍🏼 Appreciate the hubbers inputs here as this is an unknown territory for me
  13. seems like very good entry point into smart trainers. What other add ons required for this setup? sensors wheel tablet/pc/android device RGT app download
  14. i have a dedicated bike, trainer wheel shouldnt be an issue and will be working out in the garage so noise isnt an issue. Will do some classifieds hunting but winter also wrong time to buy - as isnt this " peak " IDT season
  15. some good insights @Matu and knowing the guy I am i wil eventually want to be competing on zwift - but my battle is with R10k i can do other things on my MTB lol. @El Duderino i do enjoy convenience and no hassle or fuss setup so that defnitly catches my eye. but also afraid once that i might just get gatvol/lose interest with the indoor trainer etc after 3 months. Need to do some good bargain hunting or soul searching to understand what best for me - coz R10k is alot of cash for something im not entirely sure of and then R4k dumb trainer is also huge waste. wonder whats the % of ppl who convert from dumb trainers to smart and what % goes from smart trainers to onl real outdoor MTB riding
  16. Thread resurrection: So many indoor trainer threads and left me uncertain I want to maintain fitness during winter n times where can't get onto the trails. I know I won't enjoy this indoor trainer business very much however I need my fitness levels up. I have a 29er mtb that will be mounted permanently on the trainer. What's the most efficient smart trainer setup? Think zwift etc will make it more bearable but also not wanting to spend lotsa cash. What is easiest, cheapest way to get zwifting?
  17. Works Components - Angle Headsets | CNC Bicycle Components | Made in UK AngleSet - Cane Creek Cycling Components Wolf Tooth 1 Degree GeoShift Performance Angle Headset – Wolf Tooth Components these generally need to be imported, unless someone has old one laying around - should of kept the angleset that was on the norco😉 Or ask some of the local Cane Creek /wolftooth distributors to bring in for you reverse angle spacers - doubt can work in isolation. Never seen them either.
  18. I ordered from CRC about 4 times in the last 12 months All order arrived within 5 working days - clearance and shipping always done by DHL Express whether it was Free/standard or express shipping. Standard and free shipping both came on 5th working day. had zero issues with delivery especially if you share ID and pay as soon as they request.
  19. This was my concern - cant buy virtually unless actually rode the said bike. Too stretched out on a XC bike would need a very strong core and even then not comfy thanks
  20. Thread bump I'm aware that these days the frames are predominantly based on reach. Could different riding styles influence the size bike you ride? Based off the fact that you ride a medium enduro, would you ideally ride a medium xc aswell. Reason I ask is the medium in xc frame is on average 10mm to 15mm shorter reach. XC frames bring u naturally more over the bars, enduro more centred weight distribution but would it be detrimental to upside an xc bike? Looking at specialized enduro and then buying a spez epic as an example.
  21. 🤩 is that frame colour really that nice or you got some damn awesome photography skills. die ding is mooi !
  22. yes please - im awaiting feedback by 6pm . thanks 🤣
  23. Heard many good things about williams bike shop in Somerset West - WheelsbyWill
  24. @peetwindhoek how you finding the shifting on this cassette? Read few comments that not as smooth as usual shimano/sram etc but defnitly better than sunrace
  25. Depends what you define as hard? doing big jumps & tail whips and fancy no handers drop offs in tokai DH0 - 4 then a 140-150mm is sufficient. But as you know, we like to overbike ourselves ( talking to myself ) so we go 150mm and more. If you riding hard is like my definition, where a bigger fork saves my life at times due to me running short of skill & talent on DH where im hucking and landing nose heavy then 140mm + helps too lol. as for the actual dampers between the two - well forums/media all seem to suggest fox grip2 is the one to have as has more street cred apparently especially if its in shiny gold coating. However rockshox new lineup seems to be giving Fox a run now ....until fox releases their new range atleast. but i am by the opinion the far majority of us riders, cant tell or make full use of these forks and dampers FULL capabilities.
