  1. Did quote via their website at 11pm lastnight and got respone by 10.17am this morning Had few transactions with them took 3 days max from quote to receiving the item. Guess I'm lucky
  2. Thanks will try this option else I'm swopping out to sram, find this totally ridiculous from shimano. Iv never run shimano brakes so will always have this issue This is an option...let me search thanks.
  3. This is really cr@p, I moved over from sram as I prefer shimano shifting feel. Now to be faced with this, wolftooth has an option at the cost R1060 , almost the pof the shifter
  4. Sadly it seems no cheaper alternative Matchmakers not available locally?
  5. Too many options and variables, need the hub insight. I want to fit 12s XT shifter, I believe it's I spec ev. Not entirely sure even ( why the effin h3ll do they change it) I can't seem to just find simple clamp adapter to fit it to the bar, must it have a matchmaker and fit to the brakes clamp? I have sram guides fitted. Saw kcnc clamp option for R600 and matchmaker for even more...ridiculous. find it crazy to spend Similar cost on a clamp as the shifter. Nevertheless what exactly do I need to buy to get this fitted? Most cost effective way. Either direct to bar or to the sram brakes clamp.
  6. Cool will check it out and see how dropper post pricing will work out. What's delivery fee,if you know
  7. What site will you be buying from
  8. If you have the receipt, go get it warranteed
  9. Think I will ask them about doing this , I'm sure they have had request like this before. Apparently full bike is 30% plus vat of 15% Two delivery and admin fees will still be cheaper than 30% tax on full bike
  10. Want to clarify, when buying full bicycle from Europe, obviously when shipped it will be taken apart. Does this mean it's classified as parts or still full bicycle? Believe only 15 % vat applicable if comes as parts versus full bike has potentially increased tax Or depending on what the shop adds as description on invoice/waybill My current Calc is purchasing price +20% includes shipping, admin and vat.
  11. Man, that's now really an insane build. Hats off to you for rocking that bad boy n dropping it down plum 🤣🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
  12. Please do share that drivetrain setup and is that 240mm dropper?🤔 And share video of you dropping down plum pudding
  13. I ride TM and tokai mostly, so the terrain is similar to yours. These DD are scarce, rush sports responded to me that they do have in stock I just need to order via a store. However, basis these inputs I then seriously need to consider using spez butchers Grid Gravity. I'm not heavy, more lack of skill resulting in my rear tyre taking a hard beating and even more so when on the hardtail. Shot for the input 👌🏽
  14. Anybody see stock of maxxis DD/DH casing in SA stores? In DHR or Dissector. Or does SA market only cater for exo+? I already run foamo in my rear, but thinking of removing that and just running DD/DH casings on the rear
  15. Nice one, many safe n fun miles! Do you mind saying where u purchased and at what price as my buddy also wants to buy titan cypher currently
  16. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dual-suspension-bikes/498768/titan-cypher-expert-m-and-l Within your price
  17. Have read thru the thread, couldn't find anything on knee and elbow gaurds. Would they attract 40percent tax?clothing category Or fall within bicycle equipment? Or depending what the store puts on the paperwork?
  18. Recently got a warranteed part from canada. Took 7 days from canada to reach SA, then 33 days till it got to my local post office via SAPO
  19. Definitely agree on the vibracore from spank, might not be carbon but it reduced chatter better than on the lyne AMP carbon bars I had before.
  20. Read many reviews on the AM5, will await someone to come back from Europe to bring me a pair. You just gave me that certainty I needed , just don't want the import duties. Will wait it out, 👍🏼
  21. 2FO can take a hiding for sure, amount of falls , scrapes etc and they very well intact. Actually did a long hike a bike back up to black rhino 1 in Contermanskloof not too long ago, and can say I wasn't too comfortable in the shoes at the top. But I literally walked from the bottom right up 🤣🤣🤣 as I was finished but wanted another ride down @Jewbacca had my eye on those shimano am5, did you bring in a pair from over the oceans?
  22. The super stiffness I agree, they too stiff for all day missions and definitely not comfy for alot of walking. 2hr to 3hr sessions is max
  23. Also got the 2fo, and it's grippy enough, very hard wearing and no issue at all with circulation and I have broad feet. Soles are very stiff, not the best if u pushing bike uphill often 🤣 Latest 2FO are not to my liking. So I won't be buying them again, unfortunately. I have these black and red Won't buy this new style tho
  24. For any business that kind of service is unacceptable, regardless of covid situation. Could possibly be linked to the huge demand and short staffed and boom in business that led to the don't give a damn attitude, Sad tho.
