  1. Exactly its only fellow enthusiast who would steal such specific parts or get ppl to find this for them
  2. Think i will just slide it off rather, safer and take 30 seconds to slide off. Cost R380 a slider with the strap. As thule sells it separately. Will in meantime see best option, perhaps bolt thru the middle will do enough to add some nuisance to the thief.
  3. Roofracks for bikes work on sedans. But can tend to be mission to load on if roofracks on a SUV, unless you tall and your bike weighs 9kgs lol
  4. See these tiny mounting points onto rails
  5. Just disapointed how inferior the attachment is onto the rail. The padlock will work but will make knocking noise as you ride though. Aluminum riveted on could work, just think they might pop off the wheel slider with screw driver
  6. Ideally need to add a stopper before the black end peices
  7. These footwell or sliders get stolen off so easily, i already had to replace them. They need to have some mobility on the railings to fit various bike sizes. So i need to insert or install something at the ends of the rails to prevent or make it harder for these thieves to slide it off. Any ideas?
  8. Id suggest be more specific on what Thule racks you interested in?
  9. 8kgs, shew. Does he mention the total cost of this build?
  10. Wimmas if you keen on this stratos in CT can assist in checking bike out for you. First go test ride the same version by you though
  11. Thats odd to just find a lost bike. Good news to the owner and well done to the peeps who found it and didnt just claim it
  12. The x fusion shocks, cant comment on but in my opinion id stick to fox or rs, longterm not sure about x fusion reliability, endurance and maintaining. Ride them, see what bike u cant take your eye off and wait for black friday specials Might get a great deal
  13. Update. So been riding the FS1 down most of cape town trails. Uphill she aint fast, she is heavy but onpar witj weight of a stumpjumper. Got the opportunity to test ride a stumpjumper also, and man am i happy with my fs1. ST feels abit twitchy, brake fade is evident. Does feel slightly lighter/nimble than the fs1. Think its down to brand n comfort, but iv been killing my own PR's on the fs1 tho....so im happy chappy. Now to figure out whose best to service her in the southern suburbs Crown Bridge Olympic Are my closest options
  14. Go test those bikes and then decide
  15. I say go 120mm travel atleast, rather more to play with than be limited. Seen alot more durability and chances of fixing fox shocks than with rockshox on a few threads on the hub. Not sure if service n parts prices between fox and RS are massive. I ride the norco, is a hefty bike for sure at 15kgs. And i agree with DR, GX is very decent.
  16. Anybody here wash n clean fork post ride then apply fork lube onto the stanchions? Then cycle the fork, then clean off excess lube? Recommended to let bike stand upside diwn for 10mins every now and again to let oil in lowers moisten the top seals. Disclaimer. Chain lube and fork lube not the same and not to be used interchangeably
  17. I think if you catch them doing something theyshouldnt be doing and capture it on camera/video - advise the club/team/brand, and if no recourse is done then social media is an easy way to get their attention and make sure something is done about it. Any company wont like/put up with bad marketing. think goes for most clubs/teams/sponsors as well. but yeah , he said she said wont get any action/re action
  18. will get them alot more buyers now
  19. Lets just hope they didnt use fake plates as it seems as if premeditated
  20. What the hell man, hope u recover fast. Think this was an attack or random. Cash crusaders having revenge, i hope not
  21. It definitely is...are u trying to link this to the attack today
  22. Felt like i was just on a spin bike going nowhere at times hahahaha
  23. And now the mountains on fire
  24. Cape town you beaut, very gusty day out
  25. Hope its not linked to your suspicions of guys starting fires but tablemountain on fire now
