    France 2011

Big up for posting this man! Since the other thread was posted, I am on the net every night looking at the riding vids / pics, gotta do this sometime soon....VERY soon!!!
  4. Would shortening the handle bars on either sides and shortening the stem cure my left hand getting numb all the time? It feels like the "stance" of my arms to the handlebar is a bit wide. There is a slight bend in my arms when I hold the handlebars, but I was thinking if my stem was a bit shorter if it would improve the numbness in my left hand, I don't know. My frame size is 21.5", wasn't used to the bigger handlebars in the beginning but love them now, just have been getting a numb left hand after a few km's since I have had this bike, I have: Handlebars : Bontrager Low Riser, 31.8mm, 25mm rise, 9 degree sweep Stem: Bontrager Race Lite, 31.8mm
  5. Awesome!! Lycra.... never!!! I am starting with my savings for a trip like this today!!!!!
  6. Okay another question, being a cross country rider (all mountain in spirit ), are most of the trails only for downhill bikes? Will my Fuel EX7 take the punishment?

  8. Is your flights to Geneva and then transfer to Morzine?
  9. Stoked about this thread. Will definitely consider doing this. One question, do you guys take your own bikes or rent bikes, and how does that whole procedure work? (packing/cost/flight/customs?)
  10. This is showing in the rest of the world, EXCEPT HERE IN SOUTH AFRICA! :cursing: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Strength-in-Numbers-Premiere-Recap-and-Tour-Update.html
  11. Shot! Price wasn't there earlier today Anyway, what are your thoughts on this bike? Rather go for something else???
  12. Hi Guys, Anyone knows the price on the 2012 AL126 model? Looking for a entry level bike for my brother.
  13. Where is this special or marked down prices on the GT? my brother want's to get into the sport and also has about 5K to spend. Also, the Serfas bike, where do you get that price for 5k? Think it retails in the region of R6150??
  14. This was THE BEST 40km I spent on my mtb EVER!!!!! First time riding the Karkloof Classic, and I will be back soon to ride the trails. I can't believe there are such great trails out there in SA! Arrived there @ around 7am. LOTS of parking & registration was a breeze. Announcements was loud & clear and repeated constantly to keep riders informed, even when you thought you missed something you were always updated. The batching worked brilliant! Never have I seen such great organisation, the start of the batches were on time, down to the second. (thus no congestion on the trails - something the Gautengers can learn from) All in all, a brilliant race & great experience! Was blown away by the singletrack, superb organisation, quick and efficient registration, queues moved quickly for food, great event shirt (not a goodie bag filled with useless crap we usually get), friendly people (must say the KZN riders are more chilled and friendlier than the high-strung Gautengers, made me enjoy my mtb'ing even more) and beautiful scenery, all for R120. Well done to the organizers! I will be back next year & I can recommend this race to everyone out there! **The last time I spent R120 on a event, it was a mission to find parking, queues to enter the event area, congestion at the starting area & on the trail, riders swearing at other riders for skipping the queue, riding through 'rubbish dump' areas, and 3-4km shorter route than advertised, rip-off bike wash & poor catering.
  15. From what time is the number collection on Sunday and how early do you need to be there to get parking and get sorted before the race? This will be my first Karkloof event.
  16. AWESOME trailer!!!!! Can't wait for the full vid!
  17. So sad. It is getting too dangerous on the roads in Gauteng. I only do cycling in VERY quiet back roads or dedicated cycling venues like Groenkloof, Van Gaalens, MTN Bike park etc. I hate the city....
  18. Sadly this happened: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/spacecraft/q0153.shtml http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/spacecraft/buran/buran-wreckage2.jpg
  19. I read up on it a few months back - here is the link: http://www.k26.com/b...ia_-_buran.html http://www.buran.ru/images/jpg/bbur70.jpg
  20. The tracking number CRC sends is only a order id - I never received ANY tracking number for the Royal Mail, the guy from SA Postal international said there is insufficient digits for the number I gave them to track my parcel.
  21. Thank you! Just the info I needed!
  22. OK. So I have placed my first order with CRC. I bought a cycling shirt. The order was dispatched last week (11 April). Do I need to go to my post office to collect, or do they deliver to the address supllied for delivery? Does the post office notify you for a parcel? I cannot track the parcel as it is shipped with the Royal Mail service. Should I just be a bit more patient? Any info from those who ordered from them before?
  23. According the this it's going to be a wet one http://www.yr.no/pla...owick/long.html Anyone in the area that can give us some updates?
  24. Nice video! Care if I share mine? Here is one I made from a spectator's point of view.
