  1. If I can get 2000km out of a rear I'm happy, I would give up longevity for outright grip any day. Will be putting my current Rocket Ron front on the back, it also has done 2500km and still looks almost new, guess it will start wearing alot faster.
  2. Thats some big miles there ... I got 2500km out of a Racing Ralph now on the back, which I would think is already alot, granted Schwalbe is a softer tyre. Was 80% dirt though so that probably helps. My new 2.35 NN for the front is on its way today, will probably be huge on the wide lightning

Depends on what actions you refer to, Assen yes for example, Sepang no. I would call him a douche/knob if it could be proven that he did interfere, but that proof is only in the telemetry data sitting with HRC. The outrage about this is because Rossi mentioned it and now everyone sees it around every corner and points fingers. So let's say Rossi never said anything in the press conference, would MM still be called a knob for interfering? I'm 1000% sure none of us here would have known any better of what was going on, it would have looked like a normal dice, until Rossi pushed him wide.
  4. Need to replace my cassette, and have a new cassette and chain to put on. Do i need to replace my nw raceface as well, or can i use it with the new chain and casette eg is it suggested to just replace everything at once, or can the chainring last 2 chains? Will the chainring causes premature wear on the new chain

But what else should mm have done in that situ? Ive seen riders for years "leaning" on each other and nothing came of it. Its something that happens in racing. I think the rulebook talks, no use in argueing who did what. Agree with the move in assen, should have got penalty for it, but here, mm did nothing wrong in the rulebook, and rossi did. Rossi screwed the champ up for himself by running mm wide. Rossi childish "mind games" have finally bit him big

So should mm just also sit up, take off his helmet and they could then talk it out next to the track? Rossi gave him nothing else to do, deliberaty trying to run him wide, and thus causing a crash, which is against the rules I didnt see any dangerous passes from mm, they were all clean or acceptable I do think that mm caused the fall himself though, there was no kick of anything like that

So title is decided, well done Lorenzo and sorry Rossi but you broke the rules there. If Rossi did not want mm to pass him the whole time he should have been faster plain and simple. Rossi has met his match in race craft now, Marquez will always fight back no matter how many times he gets overtaken, nothing wrong with that.

Do you think that Marquez helped out Lorenzo at Phillip Island? “It is indeed true that Marquez did not play with both of us: he only played with me! It is important that he knows that I know! Now let's see what happens, but I am quite concerned because to have to fight with Lorenzo is one thing, but if you have to beat Marquez as well, everything becomes much more difficult, to be honest - the case is that he isn’t playing fair (something that a professional rider has to do in these situations). Especially because Marquez could be very competitive in the last two races.” “For me it was a big disappointment, I was upset, it was from a few races ago that I knew, but I did not expect him to do something so obvious. I feel disappointment, regret and worry, because surely he will try to do it here and also in Valencia.” So why did he eventually also overtake Lorenzo? “In the race I noticed it, but I did not understand; Marquez was a step above everyone, but instead of trying to try to battle Lorenzo, he stayed with me to fight with Iannone and others. He knew that I was losing out to the Ducati on the straight. And so every time I tried to pass him, he re-overtook me (super-aggressive, but thats the way it is). But then he slowed to create a gap to Jorge. His bad luck was that on Sunday Jorge was not so strong, because otherwise it would have been over already. Instead, he always kept Jorge in check, knowing that he could catch him within 3 laps, and then tried to slow me and Iannone, perhaps trying to put other riders between me and Lorenzo. And in the end, that's what he did. It is clearly quite worrying, but it doesn't worry me too much” Why do you think he did this? “Because he would prefer Lorenzo to win. He is angry at me for a personal matter. Although he never said it, he thinks that in Argentina I made him crash; and then at Assen he is still thinking about the last chicane, in his head he feels he should have won that race. Since then he has been angry and thinking like a child: I do not win, but you do not win either. At this point, the lesser evil is for him is for Lorenzo to win.” Is it something that motivates you or makes you angry? "Let's see. Because if he's faster yet slows down to get involved in the battles further back, it could become difficult. Because he has nothing to lose, but I do. I have to be wary. I'm sorry and I'm quite angry. I did not expect that Marquez was an obstacle for this Championship, I thought I was only fighting against Jorge, as it should be.” Because he used to idolise you, did you think this wouldn't happen? "Watch out, here we must make a clarification: did he really idolise me? Did he really have my poster at home? I'm not so sure. I'd like to go back in time and see. It will also be a question of character, he is competing with me: I want to win as many World Championships as I can. If I win another title, then he knows that he will have to win one more to overtake me. If instead Jorge wins, then they have more or less the same.” Was it better with Biaggi, because he at least made his feelings clear? "It's true you are right. In the long run, I prefer more his behaviour. We were obnoxious to each other, but at least it was clear and honest. But I do not have his phone number.” Did this all begin in Laguna Seca? “There have been lots of moments, at Laguna Seca he wanted to do what I had done to Stoner five years before, when he could easily have passed three corners later. It was the first signal. And I said so, but I did not want to believe it. To think evil, it takes forever.” Wanting to make a literary comparison, since we are in Malaysia, do you feel like Sandokan fighting Yanez? "I would not know. I do not think that there is this difference between me and Lorenzo. I think we're both brave, each in his own way, and also a bit cunning."

As David Emmett says, the Rossi-MM love affair is over ... MM said if he wanted to help JL, he would not have passed him on the last lap. So basically ITA vs SPN ...

Thanks will check it out, yeah those road racers are the maddest guys on this planet, certainly one of the most scary/insane/thrilling sport in the world. The appeal to me is the down to earth guys doing this, as McGuiness says, he's just a bricky who happens to ride bikes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWp9rhfS_0 Everytime I watch this it makes me long for my cbr1000, but then I'm glad I sold it before I came off bigtime ...

Big cahoonies ... I reserve that term for Isle of Man TT boys ... like Rossi said "They gotta the big balls". The movie closer to the edge with Mr. Guy Martin is quite cool.

That last lap from Marquez was just awesome. Very glad for Iannone, that bike is a rocketship. Where is Dovi? Looked like Rossi thanked MM for winning as well haha

He did have a few 2nd's etc. earlier in the season, but once he had no chance of winning the champ he started throwing it down the road, overriding a bike that has an obvious problem this year with too much rear wheel sliding into corners and overwhelming him. He even said he will go 110%, so it's not a surprise he has fallen this much this year. Honda seems to have 2 years of good design, then they lose it and go way too much into one direction and stuff it up. But still my style of rider, wild and loose and almost out of control, awesome to watch, same as Casey was. Rossi has been improving race by race this year, and now looking like he can actually match Lorenzo in late race pace and out thinks him easily.

The conditions gave Pedro a chance to win yesterday, in the dry the Yamas would have been long gone into the distance. Lorenzo will have to be more dynamic in his thinking, he's a 1 strategy guy, and Rossi is running rings around him when it comes to strategy. Rossi has had alot of training on Gibernau/Biaggi/Stoner etc. and the old man adapts fast to circumstances.

    MotoGP

Lorenzo's fast rabbit starts and trying to break everyone in the 1st 3 laps, cost him in this race where tyre wear was worse because of the changing conditions. Wrong strategy this time around. Patience pays off sometimes, and in this case Pedro played all the cards right. Marc thankfully settled for a finish this time around, hope he learns from this year that you do not have to win or bin, and that a 4th is sometimes the best you can get.

Yip it's a pity there's not more guys in the race for the champ 'cause if Marquez was still in contention it would have made for an even more exciting race wrt strategies.
