Hopefully JL does not raise his hand again to try and stop the race when the others start catching him in the rain ...

Thanks will check it out, yeah those road racers are the maddest guys on this planet, certainly one of the most scary/insane/thrilling sport in the world. The appeal to me is the down to earth guys doing this, as McGuiness says, he's just a bricky who happens to ride bikes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWp9rhfS_0 Everytime I watch this it makes me long for my cbr1000, but then I'm glad I sold it before I came off bigtime ...

I think silently Rossi is happy MM won, and Lorenzo is happy AI finished 3rd.

Big cahoonies ... I reserve that term for Isle of Man TT boys ... like Rossi said "They gotta the big balls". The movie closer to the edge with Mr. Guy Martin is quite cool.

Almost came off ... He seems to do that every now and then and save it with his elbow most times. Only the tank grips and his left foot keeping him on there

That last lap from Marquez was just awesome. Very glad for Iannone, that bike is a rocketship. Where is Dovi? Looked like Rossi thanked MM for winning as well haha

He did have a few 2nd's etc. earlier in the season, but once he had no chance of winning the champ he started throwing it down the road, overriding a bike that has an obvious problem this year with too much rear wheel sliding into corners and overwhelming him. He even said he will go 110%, so it's not a surprise he has fallen this much this year. Honda seems to have 2 years of good design, then they lose it and go way too much into one direction and stuff it up. But still my style of rider, wild and loose and almost out of control, awesome to watch, same as Casey was. Rossi has been improving race by race this year, and now looking like he can actually match Lorenzo in late race pace and out thinks him easily.

The conditions gave Pedro a chance to win yesterday, in the dry the Yamas would have been long gone into the distance. Lorenzo will have to be more dynamic in his thinking, he's a 1 strategy guy, and Rossi is running rings around him when it comes to strategy. Rossi has had alot of training on Gibernau/Biaggi/Stoner etc. and the old man adapts fast to circumstances.

Lorenzo's fast rabbit starts and trying to break everyone in the 1st 3 laps, cost him in this race where tyre wear was worse because of the changing conditions. Wrong strategy this time around. Patience pays off sometimes, and in this case Pedro played all the cards right. Marc thankfully settled for a finish this time around, hope he learns from this year that you do not have to win or bin, and that a 4th is sometimes the best you can get.

Yip, there's nothing stopping Rossi from going on for another couple of years. Look at Bayliss, he rode in WSBK this year, and how old is he!

Yip it's a pity there's not more guys in the race for the champ 'cause if Marquez was still in contention it would have made for an even more exciting race wrt strategies.

Yes, still the odd 30 seconds off the leader, nothing has changed.

My comment sounded dumb, I just meant they give the engineers a direction to go in, but what comes out on the other side might not be exactly what they wanted, or maybe they pushed it too far, like what has happened this year to MM.

So you're saying it's not easier bike to ride on the limit ... not sure we're watching the same series then. Compare the results of all other Honda riders vs all other Yamaha riders Go read motomatters, one of the guys who actaully knows what he is talking about https://motomatters.com/analysis/2015/05/17/2015_le_mans_motogp_sunday_round_up_why_.html

Made a wrong decision this year in the direction of the bike, but he'll be back to winning champs, I for one would not bet against him. But yes, like any other Motogp forum, this one goes down the same route, "my rider vs your rider", not about the sport.

There cannot be any rider who is ever the best, best at what, riding 2 strokes/4 strokes/with tc/without tc. Best of a specific era maybe. Marc riding a bike that is an animal that's not behaving, the Yamaha okes have a breeze riding that bike. I pity anyone who thinks Marc will not destroy everyone once that Honda is sorted, like last year.

Hip hip for MM, showing some real strategy there with pitting just at the right time haha. The Champ is in the bag for Yamaha (unfortunately for me as a long time HRC boytjie), but from those 2 I would like Rossi to take it.
  20. I'm sorry to hear about your issues with your Anthem, mine has had no issues in the 1.7 years of ownership. Mine creaks sometimes but it's only the seat post that needs some grease now and then. No other problems. I've heard of Scotts breaking rear triangles, the DT Swiss Nude Shock at the back totally SUCKS, my friend had to replace the shock twice after it started leaking air like crazy. Go ride a Scott spark and then you'll see that you will be bouncing a lot more than on than Anthem. The Scott suspension is not as efficient as the Anthem that's a fact.
  21. Every year there has been an slight improvement to the frame design. Apparently this does not happen so regularly anymore. I have a 2014 and so far so good. Please remember, you will ALWAYS see more complaints about a product on the internet, than people without an issue. Thus it looks like most owners have issues, but it probably 1% of all the bikes. As long as you are the original owner, you have a lifetime warranty on the frame, so what's the big deal ... Anthem is also not built for big drops, it's a xc bike so should be treated as such. saying that I ride mine in rough and tough rocky terrain and it had stood up like any other bike.
  22. Iwan, Is the one you tested (FRC120) sidewalls weaker than snakeskin I presume? Would snakeskin be like the 60?
  23. I also need to understand the requirement for this license, as all races say that you need to present it, but I have never needed to present it ... talking about USN/monster etc MTB races.
  24. Awesome wheelset for the price, I came from a Giant hub, so the engagement is quicker than that so for my not an issue. Only issue is I managed to dent the rear rim running too low pressures obviously. Ran 1.5, learnt my lesson ... it's definitely a dent from low pressure not from a stone or anything like that.
  25. And I take it an 11 speed chain?
