According to my coach, and good friend, who has done 5 Epics and 2 J2C......there is no way the Epic comes close. J2C for me next year!

I have a Bontrager Jones acX 26 x 2.35. Best AM tire I ever rode. Only got to use it 3 times, too big for my Rear triangle. SOOoooo bummed. grips like Nympho!

Yeah can kill a BULL!Been there before, so it's more a return to the life onboard. Got it right on the last 2 contracts to actually lose weight and get fit. Took my bike with, and my job allows for a lot of freedom, except traveling more than an hour or so to get to the ride and back in time. This being said I will focus all my rides in the south area and put the miles in to get to the climbs. After the contract I will stay for a week or two to do the north before coming home for a break and Wine2Whales.

My home for the next 4 months. 6 days a week in different ports around the Med.

HAHA! I hit the wall at about 35km. Been down with the flu, but back up and riding. Was that you on the red FIETS? Thought I recognised you, sorry I didn't holla, was busy bleeding through my eyes!

Running a 53/39 upfront and a 12/25 in the engine. Gonna need a 11/28 back there for the pins to not hate me too much.!How easy is it to train it to and from these climbs. I ask, as I doubt I'm gonna want to do 80km to the climb and then 80km back?

Riding Campy, so will pick one up at first stop in Rome, Italy. Should be a little cheaper.

Damn Zac you weren't kidding, and there's still 2 weeks for the list to grow....even while I'm out there!Not sure 3 months will be enough time! May have to go back next year!

Fitness level is good. Just taken 4 weeks down time after 7 months serious training, and 16kg drop. Now at 2 kg's above ideal race weight. Have entry for Wine2 Whales, so got to keep fitness up. I have 6-8 hrs per day 6 days a week to get the rides in. Obviously I won't be hitting them hard every day. So time is not a factor.

So here it is. I have the next 4 months in the Med, Shame *** life I know, but I have decided to take my skinny wheels over Mtbike. I know, its hard to leave your favourite child behind, but the logic is sound. So please don't slate me for this. What I would like is info from all the Hubbers that have been or who dream of going, to send thier dream rides out there, and I will try my hardest to, not only ride it for you but, to post pics here over the next 4 months. To all my Soul Rider fat tyre bretheren, we will look for the next trip to be in Canada.....Big Nuts will be needed!
