LOVE the Spez. I ride the Stumpy, as I want a little more fun. But the Camber was the only other bike I was gonna buy, and I rode them all, well at least 9 others. incl the Giant, Tall boy, Niner Jet and Genius. Camber beats them hands down. You'll NEVER regret it!

I've riden both....Going with the Scalpel.....just has that little ..... Je ne Sais Quoi! And rips the *** outta Spez!.....IMO!!!! Yes tested on same TRAIL..... 3hrs each!!!!

Then you are the target market! Enjoy your 9er. I have tractor tyres on my truck(read BAKKIE)....damn thing goes anywhere!

If I'm correct, an I think I am, the Scale can fit a 650b without issues, if you have a Fox! So you will have the best of both worlds in a few months. Hold out if you can! Not something bike shops are gonna tell you, as everyone is so 9er befok.

Don't over analyze. Sit and spin, Stand and sprint.....simple. If you feel the need to ride like the Schlek brothers.....get on a rd bike...! If you STILL feel the need to stand and peddle....drop your gears, go lighter and faster. You are not SCHWARTZANIGGER! Bike size should have nothing to do with your suffering when standing! So there is the issue of time, causing all sorts of dissappointment. I'm gonna have to focus on rides in the south close to the Med. Col Du Turini looks awesome and only 54km from Nice, So that may be the first.
