  1. Done, hope he don't moor me! Bwaahahaa!
  2. Lets hope we have some big guns.....I am aware that 2.50 is a pie in the sky, but hey.....if you aim for the moon and miss.....at least you land on the stars! Rather aim high and be a LITTLE disappointed, than miss the target altogether! If I'm not chunking by Edinburough drive, then Boyes, if not Boyes then Smits........but I'll def be leaving breakfast on Suikerbossie! If not then I'm not riding hard enough!!!
  3. Double tagged the damn button......tried to delette this one. Bwaaahahahaha!
  4. you obviously have some legs or you'd be further back.
  5. Aim is to try get below 2.50....thats pushing, anything under 3 is acceptable. No to Bay city, other commitments Sunday, but looks like I'll be heading to Wellington Sat for that one.
  6. Lets see who's out there, starting in E, that is in the mood to go hard! What time you looking for?

  8. E 6:39. Hope there'r a bunch of guys keen to do some damage! Got a 3.06 last year from G. Caught the E guys. Looking to destroy that this year!
  9. There's a Small Merida here on thehub for R7500 with full Ultegra.
  10. Well Cath @ 148cm & 50kg's, it's gonna be hard for anyone to catch you on a rd bike.....therein lies your advantage, and not yo mention as a MTbiker you are familiar with pain and climbs! Whatever bike you get, you will be off to a good start! Enjoy the rd, but never give up the mtn.
  11. check the door frame and window hieght....she's TINY, or it's a REALLY BIG house
  12. Apparently they roll so well you don't ever need to pedal! I see a disc @ the back there!
  13. Get hold of any one that has done the Argus with a GPS and you'll have the exact simulation. Post here, I'm pretty sure there is a Hubber that will give you the details.
  14. I was lucky enough to do some snowboarding there before I got into mtb......'96. But a buddy has emigrated to Vancouver and rides Whistler every couple weeks, says it blew his mind. I'll ask if I can post his details for you to contact him.
  15. Hey guys, just offer to show the guy around, he may even end up kicking everyones ass....on a bike! Welcome Ich. There is more than enough riding in CT to keep you happy for hours.
  16. Smolster. Listen to TNT. You have not only limited time to train, but limited time to live. Get on your bike, ride till you smile through the blood! Yes you will get out what you put in.....like I said....LIMITED TIME! Anything is better than chips on the couch! ANYONE that says mtbiking doesn't count...has NEVER truly ridden off the tar!
  17. Hey jonny. Sorry for the late reply. Takes me about 50 min to Maitland. I would say knock off 10min to Common. It's 27km for my commute. I leave home @ 7:30. Trffic is not too bad. But you do need to be awake, so hit the caffiene before you jump on. I find it better when there is some traffic, cars are going slower and don't move erratic.
  18. Had a serious case about a year ago. Something has caused it. TE is usually caused by either muscle growing faster that tendons ie weight lifting or, in my case, bike set up. An often over looked part of the setup. Check to see if your hoods are out.. handle bars to wide or to narrow. All it took me was ice, narrower bars (measure from shoulder to shoulder, pref get a bio setup, see Dr Jaroen Swart) and a minor tweeking of hoods. Good luck, I know how it stops you from riding.
  19. Hey JR. I've just stated comuting to work and back. I ride from Kirstenhof, and take Spaanscmacht over Ladies Mile. Right into Constantia main under M3 bridge, left over, what I think is called Alphen hill, but it's pat the military hospital. Left at lights past Chelsea village up towadrs Wineburg hill. Take a right at the light up past wineburg school, Herchel walk, and left into Newlands drive/ave. Right at circle towards main rd Claremont. Over lights and bridge. For those that are into that 3 stump game, Newlands Cricket field will be on your left. At the lights hand left into Camp ground rd. Right at the main intersection toward Rounebosch Common. I think you"ll know where you are from there. And by the way, your RUSTY old steed will be the BEST way to commute. I'm looking to geta cheepie single speed soon. Not to happy riding the old carbon rd bike, and there is NO WAY my MTB sees tar.....it will never let me ride it again. Good luck getting it sorted....been the best thing I've done in years. Oh I go on to Maitland.
  20. For a GOOD frisk and a HARD pat down!
  21. I'm told cross training is really good as a supplement to cycling.....has worked more than you can believe! 5 days a week you'll find me on my bike, mtb and road........BUT on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday eve's you'll find me in a Muai Thai class.....much to the detriment of at least 7 wannabe Bike-jackers. I worked hard for my bikes.....only God or other divine beings may lay claim to them!
  22. Front wheel blow out! Back wheel blow out! Left and right leg blow out! But by G.. I blew through God's window...which by the way was a RELIGIOUS experience! Then proceeded to attack anything in front of me.....UNTIL.....@ 38km.....the DEVIL had his say and stuck one of his thorns through my, now HOLY, front tire! Decided to swap over and finish in good old fashioned trail running style! BUT BY GoD('S WINDOW) I'll be back for a 3rd session next year
  23. Hey Chris....LOVE YOUR WORK.....HATE YOUR TIMING! Iso badly want that XTR crank....don't have the moola now....so I'll go cry!
  24. I'll make a deal with you, first clarify where these so called DH trails are, as I DOUBT very much that it's THAT much fun PUSHING my bike up you singletrack, and to be fair....I have yet to confont a DH boy coming down, BUT if you guy's stay away from the singletrack entries, so I don't have to fight my way in and don't have to slow down while you have Sunday tea....then I promise I'll only pass you on the way down......DEAL! You guy's should really wear panties that aren't so TIGHT!
  25. If you girls carry on like this we'll end up like Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe, for the uneducated these are TRAILS in the USA, where they have a F^&*&*g speed limit. Control your ego and your bike, if you can.....from what I've seen there are few that can. Tokai is for EVERYONE....INCLUDING Noobies! I climb the single track, and have to slow down for so many SO CALLED DH riders on THIER SO CALLED DH trail. Ride YOUR bike, and let others ride theirs!
