  1. 30 for 30 on Showmax. Brilliant! Great one on Greg leMond called Slaying the Badger.
  2. As daai fat plugs nie werk nie, laat my weet, ek het n ekstra 2.6 elimenator wat jy kan kry.
  3. I've done W2W 5 times and although the nice days are awesome when you ride them, the days you remember are the ones that test your endurance. Very wet ride in 2013, Way over 40 degree on day 1 in 2014 (Race), Severe cold snap, rain and wind on day 3 2015 (Adventure) and severe storm winds on day 1 in 2017 (Adventure). Those are the days I remember. The beautiful days in between all seem to just mesh into one. Have fun guys! Edit: I learned about chain-suck on a mud ride on W2W. It’s a terrible thing. I think 1x drive trains might be immune, but its worthwhile to check the condition of your front chainrings if you are not on 1x.
  4. Japan will be a tough game, but I can’t help being happy that Ireland, NZ, England and Aus are all bunched up on the same side of the tournament. To win the cup we will only need to beat one of those teams.
  5. Although all true, most of those stats were very close. The majority of those stats are also skewed towards the backline. Very difficult to beat the AB on backline stats. Our rush defense also often result in the first tackler “missing” the tackle but slowing the player down so that the second tackler can make the tackle behind the game line. I thought that actually worked well, but it makes for bad reading in the stats.
  6. I that was because there was a split second of daylight before he went for the ball. Not a concerted effort but enough to justify penalty only.
  7. In 2011 France lost 37-17 against nz in the pool stage and the came damn close to beating them in the final.
  8. In 2007 England lost 36-0 and still made it to the final. I thought our forwards looked strong and for a change they got over the advantage line a lot.
  9. I agree. I thought we played well. We won the second half and that does not often happen against the AB. Willie had a bad game and should have been replaced earlier. It was interesting to hear Rassie explain that the timing of his replacements was heavily impacted by injuries unfortunately. I think we can definitely make it to the final and on the day anything can happen.
  10. Thanks. Yes Boer & Butcher is my go-to for lamb and other interesting things to braai. Nothing better to pop in there on a Sunday morning after riding the trails to find something interesting to braai. Boord Spar is where I get my Sirloin. Not sure who their supplier is, but they have damn good steak. Will give Deli-Co a try though.
  11. Damn! Never heard of Deli-co but had a look at their website. Definitely worth a try. Thanks for the tip!
  12. Out of curiosity, were the games broadcasted somewhere? Youtube?
  13. I watched the various Netflix programs on the CF games. Whether you can call them fittest in the world or not, it is damn impressive what they accomplish and how hard they train.
  14. You should have worn that flannel shirt you’ve been talking about!
  15. I buy and sell my watches through topwatch.co.za. They always offered me fair prices and also buy back watches you bought from them at 90% of the price you paid. Maybe check with them for a price on your watch.
  16. Had to google that! Looks very cool. Reminded me for some reason of the Omega Deville “brick bracelet “. It was a piece of art. Never got the level of recognition it deserved, probably because it was paired with the wrong watch.
  17. I love the mesh way more than I expected. It is super comfortable and the engineering that went into it is impressive. The rubber strap also compliments the watch, but is not nearly as distinctive. When I got my first Panerai I went down the strap rabbit hole. There are some amazing strap makers out there. Really love some of the hand made rugged leather straps purposely made for Panerai. The millage you get out of swapping out straps on the same watch is not to be under estimated!
  18. Amaizing what a difference a strap makes. Got this Breitling with both rubber and mesh bracelet. Had to try both in the first 2 weeks. Gotta love how a watch changes character with just the change of a strap.
  19. New watch day!!!
  20. I enjoy Sam Harris's Making Sense podcast and for comic relief I listen to Bill Burr's Monday Morning podcast. Also like Joe Rogan, but at the pace that he turns them out I tend to be selective about which ones I listen to.
  21. Good advise this! I had great fun at my first one 2 weeks ago and also only had a normal helmet and knee pads. Did not really need the knee pads for Uitkyk, but I wanted to look the part. The vibe was great and everyone is super relaxed. The intervals at Uitkyk was self determined, which was great. I made a point of telling the guy behind me to give me an extra few seconds. That worked great as no one tried to overtake me on any of the stages.
  22. I am not a binge watcher. When I love a series I tend to savor it. The only series have liked enough to keep watching but not enough to want to savor was “Last man on earth”. Totally stupid series I accidentally found on Canadian Netflix, but highly addictive.
  23. Lol, yes that was me. It was a tough day. My elapse time for the Endoro 4h15, but we were at back. Total distance was around 30km and the climbing was around 1000. In the heat today it was a touch ride.
  24. It was awesome! I did give away my newbie status on stage 1 when I rode straight past the tag post at the finish and started pushing my bike up that little hill while chatting with the guys sitting. They had to send me back to go tag. [emoji28] The heat and dust was tough towards the end. Fair bit of climbing as well. Everyone was super friendly. Very different vibe to XC races I have done.
