Had an eventful ride....an early fall breaking my boa and christened my Kevin 😢 shifter & fork scratched ! Got stung on the eyebrow an 1 hr from home and couldn’t get the sting out..... But I had an awesome ride in spite of a few mishaps and a gusting home headwind. Damn I love Kevin 😍 #gravelgoodness💙

Defying the dirt ...... what beaut of a morning 👌☀️😍

While having a coffee at the circus around 12ish today ,one of the ladies that work there asked me which direction had I come from. Apparently a guy was hijacked by Henley on klip ,they took him as well. One of the patrons at the circus received a call . Not sure how they new or who the call was from. Thats all i know, anybody heard anything else or to the contrary. Riding solo is becoming increasingly dangerous. It always has had its risks . Just seems lately that the attacks are more frequent and more calculated .

Making it up as I go along,nothing new. So I can meet the missus for a 🎪 coffee and some grub....thankful I didn’t have face the ride home in that wind today.

2 weeks off the bike with bronchitis and a brand new gravel bike waiting to be ridden . Oh my word , it’s was soooo worth the wait . @Benky thank you for the perfect bike 🤟😍😍 The ride is so buttery is bloody amazing. And nothing beats a quiet bike .

It’s a strange one to be honest and something I can’t exactly put my finger on . The 2021 defy is and should be plenty racy enough for an old git like me. It’s not sluggish , neither is it slow. But it feels like the ride has been dumbed down compared to the Reacto , that’s the bet way for me to describe it . Maybe that’s the comfort thing , not feeling everything through the bike . I also think it has a lot to do with the riding position . The Reacto was a m/l with aggressive cf 4 frame . The defy is also a m/l but definitely feels like a bigger bike .I have grown to really like the defy and am plenty fast enough on it with being beaten up afterwards , but if I am honest , I loved the Reacto and would still swap for my defy . Not that it would do me any good . I suppose it comes down to how the bike makes you feel more than anything else. Speed is also relative to the rider .

The Reacto is a brilliant bike and possibly underrated as it doesn’t really fall into the desirable brand by many . I have owned 2 Reacto’s , and the 2nd one was di2 with the cf4 frame . Not that I could feel the difference between that and the cf2 . The bike fast , so fast . And surprisingly comfortable for such an aero bike . I never thought about the handling , but , damn it was fun to ride . I sold it and bought and endurance type bike . Biggest mistake ever , huge mistake ! The defy is a great bike but I miss that buzz the Reacto gave me . I would swap my current bike in a heartbeat for another Reacto . You can go wrong with the Reacto . I think value for money they are impossible to beat . And if the bike was badged differently they would sell faster and for 20% extra . I set many a PR on that bike . Granted I was fitter than now , but I firmly believe the bike helped rather than hindered those times . Buy it you won’t regret it .
