  1. Oooooo, ok, now I get you, thank you very much. So you ship from Ali to AGS and then once it arrives there then you ship with AGS to SA, ok get you. That is a super cool concept as I have lots of stuff that I've wanted to order but because of SAPO decided to hold off on placing anything.
  2. Ok, so how does the Aramex global work? I see on some of the items you can choose Aramex as an option but what confuses me: You register on Aramex Global and create an account and then when choosing Aramex on Ali you pay based on quantity. Am I not able to enter my Aramex Global details on Ali's website and then only pay one fee for delivery through Aramex?
  3. Plenty of stock here in Gauteng, I got 10 sets of olives and ferrals the other day and then I have re-usable banjos I use with hose that I cut to length. But I also have quite a few hose with banjos already fitted
  4. The chain is too short on that link. If a chain is too short it wears the rear mech prematurely. The rear mech also drops the chain from time to time
  5. You got multiple offers because you have multiple listings. You listed the Bianchi 3 weeks ago, they then made an offer on that ad. You then listed the same bike 4 days ago and another member on their team saw the bike and made an offer. Bicycles don't have a little book like what you have in cars therefore if theirs no database or Kanban board to keep track of all the offers they make then they're bound to offer two different prices for the same bike.
  6. Maybe when re-listing your bike you should delete the old listing
  7. Nut lock works even better and looks neater 😁. You normally get those with new brakes
  8. You know what I use? I've always wanted one and finally got one for a steal: I use a Dremel to cut a groove on any rounded bolt head then simply use a flat 😁. I then chuck the bolt and replace it with a new one
  9. The bigger the dog the bigger the appetite. If someone was willing to pay R150k for a bike then a 20-30% drop won't bother them either.
  10. I have observed a few things whilst going through all the replies: 1) @Jacko18you sound very young and still have lots to learn, not everything is personal or a bullying tactic. 2) It doesn't matter how long you've been doing something, the moment you think you know everything about the topic it is time to either get out or have a long and hard look at yourself and ask if you're really an expert or just a box. 3) Buying and selling is quite simple to understand, if I have 4 forks but I don't have any cash then I am stock rich but cash poor, I then end up selling some items to liquefy my stock. Price then isn't too important to me then. I basically just want cash. This is when. Something turns into a "steal" Your risk is that you may end up with too much stock or too little stock. Either scenario can be bad for the market.
  11. What the actual? Do they actually allow the bike to leave the factory like that? That rear mech
  12. Are the gears "slipping" or "skipping" Slipping = the chain and or cassette is worn and needs to be replaced (the way to distinguish - the moment you apply force to the cranks the chain slips off the teeth and all traction is lost) Skipping = the cable has stretched slightly and don't align the rear mech with the chosen gear anymore (this one constantly makes a noise and sometimes the chain jumps between the gears without you doing anything). To resolve this have a look at the attached image, you will notice a little adjustable wheel on the side where the cable comes out. Whilst riding move this knob a quarter of a turn at a time away from you i.e. forward until the chain settles in the chosen gear and the noise stops
  13. At 1.85 I will go with an XL and shorten the stem with wider bars. I've been riding Trek since 2011 😁
  14. Prices are definitely coming down. IMO one need to either adapt or try and hang on to the "over priced" stock until the market comes back alive (which in my opinion is not going to happen anytime soon with us moving into winter). This is actually a really good thing for cycling as a whole as most of the gravy train riders will get off at the next stop . Again, this is my own opinion 😉

  16. So I also have a Thule bike rack and every time I plug mine in it blows the fuses of the car . Yes, I am aware that the wiring is causing a short and that I need to find the issue by doing so and so but you know what works even better? Not plugging it in
  17. Sent you a DM, I will be able to get you going or sorted.
  18. Replace, never repair carbon wheels. No matter how good the repair is it will fail under the stress of the spokes (either immediately or over time)
  19. Ya sorry man, I am going to hang onto it for a bit. Maybe I can complete the set later down the line
  20. Just bear in mind that that Rapide stem has a 35mm bar clamp, the 31.8 is currently out of stock: https://www.rapide.co.za/product/rapide-controlcolumn-35-stem/
  21. Strangely enough I recently got a bike from a friend with one carbon and one alu Roval 🤔. I have yet to decide what I am going to do with either. Maybe you can make things easier for me
  22. If you took the frame to a certain carbon repair shop in CT then I am not surprised that they told you that. You're more than welcome to send me a DM and I will give you two other contacts that will be able to fix the frame. That is not "Un-repairable"
