  1. Was he ? and is he? To date I have not seen a response on the hub from one of the cyclists allegedly involved.Forget the assumptions and who was told what.Lets see it first hand! The same goes for this Marco fella.Let him post his response on the hub first hand.
  2. Tour de Frans is a great shop with great staff. Bought my road bike from him.Its out of the way but worth the trip. The kind of service I get from Ruan and Fritz at FPC.Top notch and personal.
  3. Looked at the Titus bikes on Competitive Cyclist. I need a sedative after seeing those prices. Then again I was considering an Intense or Ellsworth as a new bike. Not much difference. I like to do a lot of all mountain stuff with technical s/track as well as the XC rides. How does she handle that?
  4. I'm a prime candidate for a new bike at any rate Wont be around for the Hubbers ride unfortunately. When fit I weigh in at 88kg.Working hard to get there at the moment Only problem when buying such a specialised piece of equipment there is no turning back.
  5. Hi TT, Interesting stuff this. I'm 6'3.5" Riding a XL Cannondale HT at the moment
  6. We use a green card(Nat Parks)which does Tokai,Cape Point for the Kreef, Silver Mine,BainsKloof,Cederberg and just about mows the lawn Thats the way to go.
  7. Why do you ride a 29'er.What are the advantages or is just a quirky thing like a single speed

  9. And you actually carry a "pet" baseball bat around with you .... ??Specifically for bullies.Keep it in my tubbie bag.
  10. Yes SP,self defense is acceptable. How ever,6 young strong men following a sixty year old to his place of work and beating the sh*t out of him and assaulting a women to boot is not!You actually suprise me. It should not be too difficult to track down our bullies and get them to tell us their side of the story. I can assure you that if I had come upon the scene and witnessed these 6 buckos donnering a women I would have taken my pet baseball bat to them and just for added measure given the LBS some new business as well! I cant stand bullies and even more so anyone who raises a hand to a women is pure sh*t
  11. But many cyclists are motorists. And many motorists are cyclists.Eenvoudig. What is so pathetic???
  12. Quite true' date=' some of us are Coloured... [/quote']
  13. I think some of the views expressed here are appalling.Aggressiveness, violence and plain ignorance is unacceptable. Cyclists are not the lilly white innocent individuals they like to paint themselves. There is a problem with respect to safe, courteous and accommodating use of public roads that has to be resolved and that all parties have to buy into.Poor behaviour is a step backwards, not forwards.
  14. Neither here nor there really apart from the specials like the Sabie Coaster,Magoebaskloof chunk of rock and old ones that bring back memories ala Star 100 and Magoebaskloof Challange My son would be devasted if he did not get a medal after a ride.I think there are lots of him out there.
  15. Where can one find a list of teams and/or members for the DC ala Sabie
  16. Get a life. Actually, you would do well to accept a freebie.Just specify if you want the online or store freebie.
  17. I use a TCS hard case which is indestructable and takes either my mtb or road bike. They are expensive and heavy which is the down side but my bikes stay in good nick. I noticed with interest flying from Cpt to Jhb on Monday after the Cederberg stage race that lots of guys just put their mtb's straight on the plane without any bag or protection.I dont know if thats very wise.I felt quite sorry for that Ellsworth(lust)
