  1. that looks terrible! how did you guys manage to get out of harms way SO quickly!? very lucky!
  2. as a road user I get irritated by ppl not following the law or not being sensible like driving slow in the fast lane or parking in front of a driveway when the road is all clear if you a cycling - wear a helmet if its dark - use lights these morons (I call them that cos, like really, why turns to violence? and against a female!) clearly have no common sense and these are the very idiots that give a bad name to cyclists in general i guess swearing at them is a bit harsh, but hey, we all know what spurs on "road rage"
  3. NOS on a car is Nitrous Oxide - that into the fuel system giving and instant boost of power "NOS" for the cyclist = methane gas - but lets not worry about that too much stay low - its better for the aerodynamics and like HR said - keep your arms loose you can hold onto the lower part of your handlebars and be careful of objects lying in the road and wind - a gust of wind can quickly throw you off balance Grayskull2009-02-25 06:21:04
  4. sitting upright increases wind resistance stay low - build up "NOS" Grayskull2009-02-25 06:14:50
  5. bending over? mmm... that tighten the tummy muscles could be for "NOS"? Grayskull2009-02-25 06:12:54

  7. hope the injuries are not too severe f^##king taxi driver the nerve - to run away! I hope that ppl that stopped ran after him and moered him SOLID before handing him over to the police!
  8. ah thanks tho i do find it a bit silly that you would need guides for the job! i tend to get my wheel in, in about same time on the calipers that didnt have guides
  9. http://www.tektro.com/02products/images/pro/R750.gif What is the purpose of the "wings" on these brake calipers? Do they provide an aerodynamic function? Cos to me they seem like just extra weight This is a Tektro R750 Carbon brake calipers which is pretty high spec. I have them on my 105 calipers, but didnt have them on my previous no-name brand calipers ANy ideas?
  10. for Option C - if there are cars approaching that might want to use the slipway I signal with my arm at 45 degrees (not the outrught 90 degree arm to indicate a turn) this just makes them aware that i intend going straight even tho im on the left of the lane
  11. ah thanks
  12. oh yes... any one in particular? or is there only one type of Cape Storm bib?

  15. yeah - i have never cycled in a shorts before so whats the difference? cos the only diff i see is the extensions that go over your shoulders
  16. Im will be looking to buy a new bib/shorts shortly Whats the difference between the two? Pros/Cons I currently ride with a bib, but on the longer rides i tend to feel very restricted... er.. squashed in the nether regions... So looking for something more comfortable Advice please

  20. yeah its cos of the heat wave in Oz The koalas, that usually get the water from the leaves there eat, were thirsty. the leaves were all dried out saw a pic were a koala crawled up onto someones porch to get some shade and then they put out a bowl of water instead of drinking it, it got right in! lets see if i can find that pic....
  21. how many bikes do you wanna transport? One bike can easily fit in the back thats if you are only two ppls..
  22. so then why would you go for a DA if the Ultegra is cheaper AND harder wearing? Doesnt make sense to me...
  23. Im in the process of changing my cassette from an Ultegra 11-23 to Ultegra 12-25/27 and got some offers for a 105 12-25 cassette as well So i was wondering, not only in my instance, but in general How big a difference is there in the groupsets? Like between Sora & Tiagra, Tiagra & 105, 105 &... etc. And how does it affect a bike if you are using mismatched components on your bike. I have a FSA Gossomer 39/53 crank Are the mechanisms different or is the change mainly in weight?
