  1. That is a k4k attitude, if we all acted like that, there would be no rules. Be proactive and help stop the guys giving the sport a bad name
  2. +100000000 Why are there guys who consistently think that are doing nothing wrong! Absolute w4nkerz
  3. Its about a 80 - 100km ride
  4. Yes, There are awesome rides out there. MTB Rides: Hop onto the main road towards P.E turn left towards Cannon Rocks, At the stop street, take a right and ride and ride and ride... The ride takes you through sections of Addo Elephant Reserve with awesome scenery and some nice climbs. You will eventually reach Alexandra where you can either turn around or or go head back on the road for a bit and then head back on the next sand road. Let me know if you want me to do a google map for you. Cheers
  5. PM me, I might have a few parts for your project
  6. I did the same thing for an up and coming less fortunate rider last year and he ended up being a top 10 finisher in a few of the local races, he has however been lacking entrance fees into the mtb races of late. I still have some spares left over from that build that I am happy to donate. I will try scrounge through all of them this week and get back to you.
  7. I can also vouch for the stability and speed of Telkom however, I have moved and canceled the line in the previous house but still get statements for it. I have been told that it can take 21 days to cancel, but that was 90 days ago. I phoned the call centre and was told that the only person in the whole of Telkom that could complete the cancellation of the line was a woman in a retail branch. I find this rather strange and a load of cr@p. Monopolies these days?!?!?!?!?!
  8. I have been buying off Ebay.co.za for a couple of months now and have saved thousands on bringing in stuff from both America and China. I have found a few items here on Gumtree and Junkmail that I am interested in but haven't committed to buying them yet due to the worry of being scr3wed. Is there anyway I could pay the seller using Paypal here in order to protect myself?

  12. There is a foam pit in the Ruimsig area...It belongs to some of the local FMX riders like Sick Nic and his crowd. Try get hold of someone from Ride Authority or the FMX fraternity. I am with Dangle on this one.... Use the foam pit first until you have the trick waxed, as you don't want to have any permanent damage because you were in a hurry.
  13. I have tried to get hold of them but I don't think that they are around anymore.... Looks like I am going to have to join the gym!
  14. Well the Lion King has just come out at the biscope so spinning classes should be sooner than 5 years away. On a serious note.... does anyone know of anything?
  15. Hi, Does anyone know of spinning studios on the West Rand. I heard that there is one in Krugersdorp in Rant-n-dal but can't seem to find any info on it. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
  16. I hope that all of you riding Sani2c have sorted out your special voting papers so that you can vote before the event starts. I did mine today and it was hassle free. Take note that today is the last day to do it!
  17. Is anyone missing a GT Zaskar in silver with GT written in yellow with a red outline? The bike also had a DT Swiss fork and a red sticker on the rear triangle. I just saw a guy ride past me on it outside Zandspruit, and He didn't look like the type who could afford it.
  18. Ok well I am free mornings and afternoons, so if you are keen to ride, drop me a pm
  19. How far are you keen on riding? what routes do you know in the area?
  20. Anyone?
  21. I am also just getting back on after 2 weeks of no riding. I ride at about 15km - 20km/h.
  22. Anyone up for a MTB ride in the Ruimsig / Amarosa area this afternoon? Keen to go at about 15:30 or 16:00. Let me know
  23. Anyone need someone with a Ba Communication Science degree? The degree focuses on internal, external and interpersonal communication as well as subjects such as new media technologies, communication law, marketing management and marketing research. I have experience in social network marketing, internal and external communication, I.T and basic web design. Let me know if anyone has anything in the Johannesburg area cheers
  24. Well said Eldron. @Captain Slow, the onus to preserve the lives of cyclists is not your shoulders but on the shoulders of the cyclists. Don't get me wrong, I am a cyclist and I ride on the road on the odd occasion but I prefer to ride smart and keep myself out of harms way by riding as close to the curb as possible. If I can do it, why can't everyone else? There have been numerous threads regarding these tjops who think that own the road, but none have come to a positive conclusion. I think we should actively take care when cycling on the road and obey the laws because they have been put there to protect us, not to harm us. Why do you think "Motorist" gets agitated when driving behind the guys in the picture?
  25. Well the individuals in the picture are wrong and this is what this thread is about. Its not about cyclists in general, just the ones that ride like tjops!!
