  1. Sorry for opening up old threads here but does anyone know where to get a lefty air filter from quickly?
  2. Anyone in canon rocks / Kenton area this week?
  3. Go for the Titan... Contact Dorpie on here, he has stock of these for really good prices
  4. The wait at the river crossing was the only downside. The route is exactly how a mountainbike race should be. It was tough, with all different types of terrain including grass, rocks, mud, hardpack, district road, jeep track and a bit of tar. I really feel that for the price, this is a really good value for money race.
  5. I have noticed the same. I understand that the rain caused absolute havoc but like 8848 says, it's not extremely expensive to repair / maintain. Maybe contact them via Twitter, Facebook or email. I tried to email them a while ago and never received a response.
  6. I must agree with Brian Fantana! I have found that by only having access to the 10 gears, I seem to conserve my energy in areas where I would normally push myself unnecessarily. This hasn't slowed me down at all but rather made my times faster. FYI, I am running a Wolftooth 32T up front with a regular 11-36 cassette with a non clutch derailleur. No dropped chains
  7. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/83276-giant-29er-mtb-2013/ This is a pretty good deal. Tubeless is already done and has a Deore groupo
  8. On road and off road
  9. Funny video I found while scouring the interwebs http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/83919754/
  10. I have been running a 32T Wolftooth chainring with a Sram X9, long cage, non clutch, 10 speed derailleur and I have not had one dropped chain either. I have found that the 32T is perfect for the riding I do but I am pretty sure that in a few months time, I will change it to a 34T just for those extra few kms of speed on the downhills. I currently top out at about 40-45km/h. This hasn't affected my ride times since its not often that I ride at that speed for long periods of time.
  11. I must compliment on Janos and Evobikes for the excellent service that I have received from them this week. I ordered yesterday at 1pm and the goods were at my door at 10am today. CPT to JHB in less than 24hrs. Awesome work guys!!
  12. From what I found, you need to tap the other arm out from the drive side
  13. I searched Youtube for about an hour and couldnt find that.
  14. Got it... Thanks Gents. Just to recap if others have the same problem. 10mm Allen Key used on the drive side and turned in an anti-clockwise direction. It was very difficult to turn at first but got easier. It was a self extracting. Just for reference the 3 bolts that hold on the spider are T25 Torx bolts
  15. 10mm
  16. Can anyone explain to me how to remove the Sram X7/X9 BB30 crank from the frame? From what I understand, the non-drive side arm needs to be removed first but I have no idea how. The 10mm Allen key slot has a warning that states "Do not remove" and I am also not sure which way the nut should turn? Can anyone give me a guide on removing it as well as if special tools are needed. thanks
  17. Purple Extreme
  18. Anyone know where to get a 120BCD 36T chainring
  19. Just looking for some advice on the 1 x 10 setups. I am currently running a 2 x 10 setup with a 39-26 up front and a 11-36 at the back. My rear derailleur is a sram x9 10 speed type 1 If I want to change to a 1 x 10 setup and I get a long tooth chainring http://www.evobikes.co.za/frm-single-speed-34t-long-tooth-chainring.html Will I need to get a chainguide? Will I need to shorten my chain? Do I need a type 2 (clutch) derailleur? Thanks
  20. How long are the Avianto trails, without using the same trail twice?
  21. Contact Kitted at info@kitted.co.za and they will custom make some for you that will last.
  22. How many KM's of trail are there at Holla and Giba?
  23. I would be interested in R500 for an annual pass
  24. We often ride down through the back entrance of Avianto then cross the wooden bridge then out the main entrance. Are We meant to pay? Its not like we are riding on any trails
