  1. Found this on Thingiverse... Might work... https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3639979
  2. I have one of those, but Im looking for something that I can add her light to with a GoPro mount. I have my own 3D printer, but Im always worried whether the print is strong enough. I printed an adapter that allowed me to ut a Wahoo on a Garmin bracket that worked great for a while.
  3. Note sure where exactly in Gauteng you are, but Ive used the following to people and they are nothing short of epic. For a chiro, you can contact Sunil Rama in Benoni. He is awesome and looking after quite a number of cyclists already. He does not just bend you into a new shape, he tries to work with the muscles first. His site is: http://ruleoutpain.co.za/ If you are looking for a biokineticist you can chat to Patricia Gouws in Bedfordview. She really knows her stuff and is a triathlete, so she understands us. Her site is: http://www.pgbiokinetics.co.za/
  4. Thanks for this. I need one that specifically work with the horrible piece of steaming *^&^(%#$ that is called the Polar V650.
  5. So Im looking for a mount for my wife's Polar V650 and thought the Hidemybell mount would work great especially since I can add her light to it using the GoPro mount. Im not toooo phased about the bell, but its a kinda cool idea IMHO. This is what Im looking at: https://www.closethegap.cc/product/hidemybell-computer-mount/ Are any of you using it? Anyone know of local guys that sell the mount with the polar adapter and GoPro mount? I found one online but its the Garmin only edition. I have a 3D printer so I can print the GoProp mount but the Polar insert is still an issue.
  6. I see that the price is listed as R9499.99 and the sale banner and saving xxx has been removed. note: I included my PC time in the screenshot just as a reference
  7. I have my 9spd shimano MTB cassette on my Kickr. I just added the provided spacer at the back. I also used my dremel to grind down two rivets on the back of the casette that were pushing against the spacer causing a slight wobble. Ill add a picture soon .
  8. The meetups are so cool! I saw quite a few NTT ones and thought its pretty damn cool!
  9. Still need to do stage 2,3 and 4, but I only started on Friday. I have to say as a weekend warrior I am really battling to keep up with the group rides. Im not last but my ego is taking a proper beating.
  10. LOL I cant post my rides on Facebook because Im supposed to be working :/. Maybe Ill create a insta account with no followers just for this
  11. I enjoyed the 62. Pushed myself as hard as I could and Im pretty happy with the results... The Guys in AS were pretty fast. Had two tandems sitting with us towards Carnival City, think they came in 5th and 6th. I have to admit that I hid behind them for a KM or two.... Our gazebo was at the start and I helped a lady with an allen key to tighten her seat post. Hope she was OK. as she cycled off I thought to myself that the seat was too high, but then again Im no expert. One note, I managed to miss the Coke/water/whatever table at the finish did I just not walk far enough?
  12. My wife has a set of DH wheels and shes done just over 6000KM on them (got them second hand). We had one issue with the bearings on the front wheel, which my LBS sorted out. I have a set of Tokens and I can definitely recommend them. Warren is tops!
  13. Im in the market for a SHIMANO DI2 EW-WU111 E-TUBE WIRELESS UNIT Pretty pleeeeeesae
  14. 100% will you even get a result if your chip doesn't register at the start (or any of the other mats for that matter)?
  15. I actually know him, nice guy and strong cyclist. If you track him using the racetec app then you'll see he started at 6:54... My bet is this is a charity ride and he waited and helped along the route.
  16. Im glad Im not the only one who feels like this.about the cows. They have to accept that they will be riding with less experienced and slower rides and that these riders have EVERY right to be on the road. They forced my wife to the side of the road, so much so that she missed the water point, one she really needed to stop at.
  17. Pretty rough day out. Enjoyed the race but it was tough. I started in H and held back a bit to hopefully finish strong. Well that plan didnt work as I started cramping just before Kyalami. Did a 3:30 in the end, not bad considering I broke my hand 3 weeks ago Two things that got to me was the lady on her e-bike climbing the mineshaft whilst I was trying to just survive... Lol yes I was jealous. The other thing was how the cows on the ice-cream cart behaved. I went back to look for my wife and found her on about 75km. The cows were rude and down right dangerous. These ice-cream carts should be banned.
  18. A lekker event with absolutely epic marshals! The wind and sun made it a tough one.
  19. I firmly believe that you need the right shoes when running. I for example have tried to run with other shoes, but I always go back to my trusty pair of Asics Nimbus. That being said, I cant see how shoes can really make someone run faster on tar unless its got some soft of spring in the sole, or maybe wheels. IMHO shoes cant make you run faster, it can only make the run more comfortable.
  20. Im pretty sure the shoes does help a bit, but anyone running under 3min/KM for 42KM is a frigging machine. Yes the environment was controlled and yes the shoes are state of the art, but at the end of the day there was still someone filling those shoes, dragging them forward (not that there was any dragging involved). Lastly, not many people can get close to that speed, not even when sprinting to the whitehouse after chowing the vindaloo of justice....
  21. Agreed. I thought the Trapnet would reduce their numbers, but Meals was well supported I just wish the people manning the water points would have gotten out of their chairs, but I guess if thats my biggest issue then it was a great day all in all.
  22. Some feedback from a weekend warrior (A bit late I guess) This was a great race and all of the people I spoke to said that they will be back next year (we were about 10 from our club that made the trek to MP). The route was great and fast. The road surface was not bad at all and the traffic was very quiet. I understand that it was supposed to be full road closure but unfortunately we have to rely on others to provide it. The couple of vehicles that did slip through was really not an issue. The start was OK, nothing major but I think the situation with the loo's was avoidable and should be addressed for next year (if the start is to remain the same). The only major change I would like to see is markings on the road where there are holes or uneven surfaces. There was quite a few awesome downhills with the odd pothole and it would have been great if we had some green or yellow paint on the road to warn us. This is nothing major and Im not sure its allowed, but as few races in the Eastrand does this and it really does help the cyclist. Some of my teamies used the bus back to the start and they were impressed with how the bikes were packed and shuttled back to the start. All in all a very lekker race, WELL DONE to the organizers. There is no reason why this race should not have 1000+ riders. Last note, there was a lady that did the ride on her e-bike. I dont know how this was handled by the organizers or whether there was a category that catered for this. No major issue from my side other than the fact that it might give her an awesome seeding in future races, which I feel is a tad unfair (not that it affects me in the least).
  23. I roped my mother in law in to drop us off at the start and then take the car back to loskop... I think it would have been great if there was a bus from loskop to the start, but then again, I dont know whether I like the idea of my bike on one of those trailers....
