  1. Heard that Cadence was bought out and is now owned by USN. Any truth in this?
  2. Go fellow hubber Jakes 9.9
  3. Length?Evobikes has some pillar in stock.
  4. So what happened to the Brandon Stewert saga?Did he ever receive a ban from Epic as well?
  5. As usual friday storm in a teacup.Solution simple.Scott/Specialized kiss.makeup, hold hands and build us all a great bike park together.
  6. The hub loves polls and lists. How about someone contacting ALL the local bike distributers in SA and asking them all(Giant,Spez,Cannondale,Silverback,Scott,Momsen etc etc) how much they each contributed to trail building and maintanace in SA.
  7. Oscar Pistorius is also getting a lot of airtime at the moment...
  8. Imagine if we as a mob could force EVERY bike manufacturer in SA to contribute to trail building and maintanance?Wouldn't that be ideal instead of leaving it to individuals like Table mnt,Tokai etc etc.
  9. I wonder if i put up a board advertising my own cycle club at the entrance of Meerendal would piss off Tygerberg mtb club much?
  10. I apologize again for the mention of scott. As said, the last time i rode there i saw all the branding and presumed they had something to do with Jonkershoek mtb trails.I am unaware of what is going on behind the scenes but it seems like some ambush marketing is doing some serious damage to the trails for everyone. Not cool on the part of Scott SA.If in deed what you are saying is true trailman there is going to be a lot of pissed off mtbikers out there.
  11. Oops sorry about that. You know what they say about presumption.I presumed when I was there last they were also involved in the trail building because of all the signage at the entrance.
  12. I notice more and more bike manufacturers are getting involved in trail building and maintenance.Specialized has for a while been involved in Jonkershoek and recently I heard Rocky Mountain getting involved in Contermanskloof and a few other bike parks around SA.(not forgetting the local clubs as well as the guys of Table mnt doing great work). It's great that the bike manufacturers are putting money back into the sport in this way that is a benefit to all.A few weeks ago at Jonkershoek I noticed Scott also involved with the trails at Jonkershoek so a big up to all these guys.Carry on with the good work.
  13. If you gaining 5 sec/obsticle X 3 or 4 obsticles per lap and in your age group you doing 5 laps Naas ,thats a huge amount of time you gaining. If someone taking B line is still beating you with that amount of time you gaining taking the A line i'm sorry but they deserve to.One or two minutes in XCO is a lifetime. So who ended ahead of you that's upset you Naas?
  14. With Steve gone from CL they might as well keep the doors closed.
  15. Yep,think Darren still holds the record for the mast climb.
  16. Please tell me you've already been to a specialist and had it checked out before you ask help on the hub.pulmonary embolus or DVT can easily happen weeks after a injury.I would think after the guy passed away that crashed at hoogies people may take more care after injuries.I would definitely get a specialist do a ultrasound just to exclude anything serious.
  17. Not sure if industry will let this happen. If they take it away completely that will be the end of electric gears and disc brakes. No one will ride a 7.2kg bike if they allowed to ride a 5.5kg bike.

    La Ruta?

As the heading says.Any Saffas doing La Ruta this year?Trying to decide if I should enter this year or wait a few years so I can get the$150 off on entry fee. Keen to see if anyone doing it.
  19. There will ALWAYS be people long for a deal.If you ran,or spent much time in a bike shop you would see there are a huge amount of customers that are looking for Dura Ace at a 105 price.
  20. You telling us you going to institute legal action against the shop involved then ASG?
  21. Still think not much will come of this.OP may get his money back but by next week Carte Blanche will have another story, the Hub will be bitching about something else and the shop will still be doing business .( just not selling many Pinarello). There is the Hub world and then the Real world.I'm surprised that in the real world there is very little interest in this story. If you go to Carte Blanche FB page there are only a handful of comments. All commenting on how crazy it is to spend that much money on a bike,to cyclists should stay off the road.Nothing about a dodgy store.Joe public doesn't care about this.
  22. Great post.Nice to see your passion.See you a noobie here. All I can say is Dont loose that passion for cycling and end up where spending more time behind a keyboard talking crap on the hub is more important to you that spending time on the bike.
  23. Miranda?
