I think you need to define “pro” first before we go any further. In SA nowadays people regard themselves as “pro” just because they have changed their FB title followed by the usual array of motivational quotes daily (usually from youngsters with zero life experience ????). Or their lbs is given them stock at cost price plus a free GU or 2. I too will be turning pro from tomorrow.Expect change in my FB status and daily quotes to follow.

Sent mail asking about refund.Let’s wait and see.As said in previous post,don’t organise a race in winter if you don’t want rain. Don't enter a race this time of year if you not willing to ride in the rain.

Too many complaints from s works guys that there was a bit of rain coming. Seriously think they should of just reduced distance and carried on. No guarantee about anything later in the year and calendar will be full. Think refund option should be offered.

Might as well ask for a TUE for epo

Even if you asked I guarantee you will never in a million years get a TUE for a diuretic.

That would open a can of worms but easily enough to check which local manufacturer uses cyclist that have been previously banned in their advertising or sponsorship.

As a side note I used to have my corporate kit made by a certain company but switched when they started using an ex doper in their advertising. Im sure at the end of the day no one really cares but it makes me feel better.

The only thing we can do is put pressure on sponsors that continue to sponsors ex dopers and let them see the negative publicity that comes their way. As I said before,there are enough young,hungry clean up and coming youngsters to choose from.

Been some interesting results the last few weeks in xco races.Fluek looking strong.

Agree 100% As my previous post what amazes me is how current sponsors honestly believe that none of that negative publicity doesn’t rub off on them. All they are seen as someone that sponsors previous dopers.

Also can’t wait. MVDP will be there,Nino trying to equal Absalon record and a host of young guns trying to prove themselves. Not to mention some fantastic racing on the ladies side.

They should just have start chutes as normal. everyone just masks up and just before start mask off ,in back pocket and off you go.

Bottom line is race organisers put on a race with 1 ambulance . So when the first person hit the deck in cat 1 there was basically no medical backup. When the second person hit the deck(lady in woman’s race quite bad),no one to help except passers by. All racers got neutralised(either cruised at low speed or made to stop at side of road) while organisers phoned frantically around for another ambulance. Profit over rider safety IMO. I would expect that if you going to put on a race there should be minimum standards that you need to follow. I hope this just doesn’t get brushed off as it could easily have ended tragically.Hopefully the WP road commissionaire will act.( even the commissars following the race said they been complaining for long time about the limited number of medics and commissars.)

done this many times ordering my stuff from Germany. almost all the time price worked out the same or slightly cheaper than local suppliers. Im referring mainly to shimano and sram sram. local price means nothing if suppliers never have stock. ive gone thru the scenario too many times with both companies. They try block locals from buying overseas. Dont have stock locally. Answer from local agents “have you tried getting it from overseas?”

Looks like a good excuse not to go to WP road and track a week later on Laingsburg.(24/25) April think driving up to that sh1thole I will skip and rather do the Pickerberg event
