  1. I think icycling is the agent. How about some prices of the Grace and Lord icycling?
  2. Seen this myself on the scale.Often the diff between a company Top of the line carbon FS frame and bottom of the line Ally FS frame is less than 100g.They will all tell you how much better the carbon FS rides but all marketing BS.Huge diff between carbon and ally HT but not much when you go to the FS.Not worth the extra 10-20K that they are asking.Giant has done a good thing if you ask me.

  4. If you have a 104/64 4 arm bcd(xt,new xtr etc) you can't go lower than a 34 middle because the chain catches on the spider.Specialities TA make a ring to fit on the granny gear 24,26,28,29,30.Your big ring then gets put where your middle ring used to be.Better chainline, gears work perfect.I'm running a 28/42 up front and it is perfect for mountainbiking.
  5. Been doing this for years, works like a bomb. When mtb goes 10 speed we will only have 2 blades in front.Current setup with campag rd FD saves about 100g.
  6. Campag record top pull FD Work that one out
  7. 9.8kg normal retail 42K not bad hey
  8. Don't believe all the marketing BS.Here are photo's taken at interbike of Sausers epic about 10.2kg and he has all the lightweight stuff on so the normal bike will probably be more than 10.5kg.Now i ask you is that worth 77K Stringbean I weighed that bike myself that is in SA' date=' it weighs 9.8kg (W/O pedals). Interesting that Sausers epic is so heavy, he even has gripshifts which are much lighter than normal shifters.[/quote'] Also saw the bike at the Spez launch Girr,as you said no pedals size M,no slime or waterbottle cage.By the time you make the bike ready for the trail it will be over 10.5kg.You can build a 10.5kg bike for half that price
  9. Don't believe all the marketing BS.Here are photo's taken at interbike of Sausers epic about 10.2kg and he has all the lightweight stuff on so the normal bike will probably be more than 10.5kg.Now i ask you is that worth 77K
  10. Looking at getting a CINQO QUARQ for myself. You guys know this product? Any good?
  11. agree,it is a bit steep, and that is only frame and fork
  12. 28K for frame and fork
  13. Rather look at the Hope BB with stainless steel bearings. There is an agent here in SA.
  14. Go ahead and import what you want and don't worry about warranties.Coolheat don't even warranty goods bought locally.CRC will help you if you have a problem.Just bought a new XTR crank from cost R2800.Your LBS can't even get it from Coolheat for that price, shows you how Coolheat are ripping the public off.2 years ago i bought a set of dura ace carbon tubbies(from local shopR10000).had a crash while racing and cracked the rear rim.Asked Coolheat if i could purchase a rear rim to rebuild my wheelset-answer don't keep stock of rims Can i purchase a new rear wheel-don't keep stock All they could offer was to sell me a complete new set of wheels.WTF COOLHEAT =NO BACKUP,LOUSY SERVICE I buy all my shimano overseas. stringbean2008-09-16 12:33:28
  15. Too much,saw a 52cm System six (liquie gas) record at my lbs for 25K second hand,not a scratch stringbean2008-09-12 07:13:26
  16. You can be lucky you not working here in CT Johan, every second mavic wheel that comes into the shop has that problem. Here by the sea that problem happens even faster and sometimes just replacing 1 spoke is a nightmare.I also think the mavic wheels are crap.crap expensive spokes, crap boddies, crap nipples.I have old school 32 hole normal spoke training wheels, cost me 1K,never had a problem with them.
  17. The 2007 tarmac sl is made with fact 10r carbon while the 2008 tarmac pro is made of fact 8r carbon. So the 2007sl is suposed to be lighter etc made with better carbon. All marketing BS.Ridden both and you wont be able to tell the difference and depending on what size bike you ride the weight difference is about 28grams.Both great bikes but to me the red pro looks better and i know guys who built them to under 6.8kg
  18. What size bike you ride and are you looking for frame only or complete bike?
  19. Not sure when.pics from Eurobike 2008 currently on. http://www.light-bikes.de/forum/pics/index.php?c=1 Over 100 pages of new stuff for 09.
  20. COOL HEY
