  13. Well done man!!! Just remember to keep a very nutritious eating style, with such severe weightloss in such a short time your body can tend to develope all sorts of problems. But still seriously impressive!!

  15. Care to post a pic of your 'powers of persuasion' ? Innocent side?.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Naughty side??won?t fit on the screen? Between that comment and the recipe thread, I dont see a lot of concentration going on today...
  16. Using Crossmark 2.1 Kevlar. Far as I know not UST. Dude gave me a tip with my previous bike, coat tubes in baby powder or something similar, reducing the chance of pinches dramatically, I did so with the set on my old bike, but not with these...hmmm... Ok. Ya I rode the same tire on the front when making all the above claims. might just have been lucky but I never had pinches. I did do a sidewall once though, wayback. Ive not heard of babypowder yet.. mabe I should use these on the trail, might be a bit more Gentle on my bike As fot things to keep with you.. I had 2 bombs yesterday and a tube, but needed to borrow a pump because the 2 bombs wernt enough for 2 x 2.2 tires. and do get plugs.. makes sense. Brighter lights have a Homejob above. should be cheap. Im so bleak I had to chuck all the stans fluid.. bloody must be R100 bucks worth.. Oi BOS, just a bit of feedback, as the dude suggested I powdered the tubes (sounds kinda porn-ish) and rode 250km since last week with not as much as a rim fart. So seems to have solved the problem, that or my luck has returned.

  18. Ironic post, Im riding xmarks with tubes but this is what happened - Been riding with hardtail bike for ~800km with no puncture until last week, where I bashed over some sharp rocks getting a cut in the side wall. I figured it was bound to happen, so didnt stress much. Got my new full sus bike on Friday and went riding, saturday went well, sunday went well, then on Monday did 40km with some rocky areas on the way back. Bam, down goes back tire. Looked like a pinch mark. In with the spare and rode on. 5kms later, bam, down goes back again. Same mark. WTF? Something different with these rims? My new 'enthusiastic' riding style?

    Ouch

Haha. I feel the pain, at that same 500m strip in Richmond that changes to 80km/h I was still cruising past at 122, and got a lovely R1000 fine.
  20. Fricken hell that looks great!!!
  21. True what Bruce is saying, but also pure protein is a meal replacement, additional carbs, etc, whereas the 'whey protein' shake is more specifically for adding only protein to your diet. Even though, this would not be adding much weight if used only after exercise. Rather check your eating habits (portion size, frequency, etc), vs your exercise type, sure you're cycling, but at what heart rate etc. And then, as Bruce suggested do a daily calorie balance, and you should have an idea where there is room for improvement.
  22. Combo of both - Use aerobic for base training and weightloss and then use anaerobic in the form of chunks or interval training for variation in your program, as well as increasing your cycling strength.
  23. i agree, but you don't have to worry about a taxi skipping a stop on your favourite single track...then again, you never know
  24. Quick posting - see we have the same idea
  25. True, but as said it seems to be more of a gamble on the road, I've only fallen while on the MTB, not once on the road, but I get up and keep riding, some of the road accidents I've seen were pretty hectic!
