  9. Naw, calculated, not pro-enough to warrant testing. So at 26 thats roughly 194. Resting is 49/50 something. Dont do massive long events, babbas lodge 70km, 2:57, 89% HR, with Dirty Harry 40km, 2:11, 90% HR.
  10. What average heart rate % do you okes race? Im sure as different as we are, people will tend to be comfortable at different HRs, but I avg my MTB races at 90% more often than not. Normal?
  11. Roll over cage
  12. Sorry to hear! Good luck!!
  13. Very good approach, well done, hope it helps sort the issues out!
  14. LTG, I get that! I wondered about this overcleaning thing as well, but cant sleep if i know there is mud and crap clogging up my back cluster (yes i can think of a million jokes about that line as well, feel free to fire). The rest of the frame, Im not too worried, but the moving parts must be clean.
  15. What are we playing, "Who wants to be a bigger twat"? This oke is not lekker, report him and let it be. That way, if in the future he did hit a cyclist, he can not claim manslaughter as there is evidence indicating pre-meditation. Id rather concern myself with that chick in the wall-mart sporting a dangle. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=61536&PN=3 (for those who've not seen it)
  16. Have same non-2blis with home conversion going, and rode well for about 2 months before sidewall cut. I just dont want to sit in a race with this kinda issue if they do wear fast, but going to be difficult to sway from xmarks, bang for buck, but will give race kings a look, thnx.
  17. I see she's shopping in the "fruits and berries" isle.
  18. What sort of KMs should one expect on the Xmarks? I know, I know it depends on the terrain, you riding style, your weight, the wind direction, and whether its snowing on the drakensberge, but what have you guys been getting? I rode Xmarks on my previous bike and got a new set with my new bike in March. Got a long but thin sidewall cut last week and sat down to patch it and realised how intensly worn the sidewalls really are, I suspect i might have to replace. Normal?
  19. Maybe she met a guy and fell in love with his credit card... Rode with an iPod during training last week for the first time, normally just me and the sound of tires on the dirt (and ringing in my ears), and it was just awesome. Some dance music while beating up the long climbs, some Breaking benjamin when bouncing down a steep decent and some coldplay while cooling down on the way home. Got to love it.
  20. Good stuff, Wanda (If i remember her name correctly) didnt get a ride then? I did an 'around the block' (about 2hours) on Saturday and did a proper 70km ride yesterday morning. My legs still feel like someone beat me with a stick. The last rocky climb we had, one of the guys riding with, started to crack (did have any real nutrition with him), and the proper thing would have been to stop and give him some of our food, but of course we then decided to race him to the top of the hill. Sad thing, he won
  21. At home, why? Funny, pics dude. By the way how was the anniversary? Will take some proper pics and post them, the only ones I have here are shoddy cellphone photos. Anniversary was great thanx! As mommy is still recovering and sorting breastfeeding out, I got her a 3course take away meal from three of her favourite restaurants and we watched DVDs at home. I thought it would be a let down not going out, but it was actually awesome, a romantic but relaxing evening for the two of us. How was your weekend?
  22. At home, why?
  23. Kansas, that really is a great looking bike. All you really need to drop it into the porn category is a set of deep section wheels, but hot hot hot.
